I'm thinking theres something going on where DHCP lease renewal packets are causing timeouts with 14.
I am absolutely 100% convinced that a god chunk of 90002 errors are being caused by the packet loss caused during these lease renewals.

I can replicate these errors every single time I test it.

I can only assume that following the server splits, something changed and the servers are now significantly more sensitive to these losses.
This right here. My VPN tracks my packet loss, and if it makes it to 1%, I get kicked. Sometimes it takes even less than that for the game to kick me.

I switched off steam and discord overlays, updated internet explorer and the errors were only twice within 4 hours ( when I entered raid). Irritating, but at least something...

Well, I'm on PS4 so not a lot of tools to test this but still: random disconects last week. Yesterday could not play at all and today was on and off. ABout 4 or 5 disconnects.
Yes I did all the basic stuff on the PS4. Restar the game, restart the PS4, restart modem/router. Check connections, check if internet was available, "load times". Everything fine except XIV

But it seems I am not alone. Yesterday a lot of ppl reported on reddit from different places. arrstatus also had some "reports". I know none of these things are official but maybe there is a bigger problem here

I'm having this same sort of issue, for around 2.5 weeks now. Just random disconnects every couple of hours or so, that last just long enough to kick me out of game. No other program/games I run does this but FFXIV. We have another device in the household that also runs ffxiv and when I get kicked offline, the PS4 running same game at the same time remains in game. (I'm on PC, Window's 10) I've change to a new modem, disable any programs running in the background. Cleaned browsers. Had my hardware all checked by my cable service and everything checks out fine, but it's still doing the same random disconnects in game. Very annoying and frustrating.

The servers are having extremely high laggs nearly crashes this evening.
i was in expert roulette, and only saw movement every 5 seconds. the boss dies and there was no ending scene....
dont even think about it, that this is something on our side!

Thing is I experience no lag. It's just a sudden drop 90002 lasting for 5 to 6 secs, enough to drop me from game and it's happens every couple of hours or so.

If you're getting regular timeout errors that are every X time interval, I'd recommend checking if you are also having the same issues some of the rest of us are.

Open the command window (Start Men -> Run -> then type cmd in the box)
    /ipconfig all

See what your DCHP Release time is set to. If it matches up with the frequency of your 90002 errors (mine was defaulting to 1 hour refreshes), or if you 90002 within a second or two of the listed time, congrats, you're also in the club, and your options are:

Adjust the frequency in your modem/router config (I set mine to refresh every few days at a time I'm never awake)

Wait until someone from support looks into current packet loss sensitivity settings and can fix it or tell us they arent fixing it.

I hold out hope that SOMEONE may acknowledge it this month.

While my 90002 Errors are rare, i get massive lag spikes esp. during duties.

Going by this thread on the German forum http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...etrennt!/page4 - you'd say it's a few of the SE nodes that have a noticeable packet loss.

For those who are dropping from game (90002) in intervals throughout the day in game, I was curious if your through Steam or did you register the game via Square Enix?
