Wil ffxiv2.0 be promoted and marketed?

I dont think E3 is nough though. wasnt ffxiv on gamescon and e3? but didnt get much attention

Not enough attention!? it was one of the main attractions for Sony's show, was a "first time revealed", was on the big screen, major major announcement, and then was big at every other after that, it was hugely and overly hyped just because it was SE's next MMO.

I just hope this time they dont give us some BS CGI Trailer that has a total of 3 seconds worth of gameplay.

if they show cgi-stuff i hope they dont plan to mislead people. in first trailer they were jumping around like baddas but once in the game you were glued to the ground.

That's not misleading unless this generation of gamers truly can't differentiate between cutscenes and actual gameplay lol.

Remember Dollet in FFVIII? You don't ever control a chaingun in normal gameplay -- The assassination attempt on the Sorceress? You don't ever actively take on assassination side quests -- The Garden vs Garden war? You don't ever actively engage in live action combat ala zelda style -- They're just cutscenes, like FFIX's Alexander vs Bahamut? You don't actively take control of Bahamut or Alexander to defend the city ever in the game (in the form of that event in Alexandria) and so on it's not supposed to really reflect gameplay.

I'm sure they've learned their lessons. It doesn't hurt that I have a video project on hold for FFXIV's "rebirth".
