The Gear that they showed will be the scrip gear, and as usual, it'll be glamour. Crafted HQ with Melds will always be the best.

I did hear they are getting rid of overmelding though. We will see how that changes things.

If crafted gear cannot be penta melded, and scrip gear has meld slots then i could see scrip gear being BiS.

But like you said, we will see what happens.

Where did you hear that from? If that’s true, that means they are going to be giving players more of a reason to farm scrip gear, which is great.

My 70 gatherer has scrip gear. Crafted gear has lower item level, but I suppose HQ and max melds will be better, but I'm not willing to pay millions of gil for it, so I'll be continuing with scrip as my max ilevel.
Would be nice if DOL/DOH had gear drops in dungeons.. Set what job you want to receive gear for during the run.
