Then ask for expanded character customization for 6.0 for shorter necks? Hijacking an entire race for it is wrong.
I mean, no one's actually "hijacking" anything. It's just expressing a preference, much like others have done. In fact, since Yoshi-P already expressed them as "elezen-like" it's not too far off the mark to think an elezen build would be used. It's best to present your preferred builds without putting down others' (even Senn's more youthful-looking drawing don't seem bad at all, if anything, they may look younger because of the animesque face but I can assure you I'm 30 and have a similar build).
@zeylos
It's...unfinished but I can put the rough sketch here, if it lets me, the image is kind of big lol

And I'm giving my opinion in response, that looks exactly like Estinien sans the long neck.
Sorry, Amnmaat. I misread "Hijacking an entire race" for "Hijacking an entire thread", hence my response. As for editing FF7 Remake Sephiroth with Viera ears, I did it based on Yoshi P's statement on how he imagines Viera guys would look like. I don't have the quote on me now but I'll post it if I find it.

I was inspired by those drawing art to have a go at it myself. It's not the best, I know, but I think it gives a good idea as to what male viera could look like:
I think they should be tall, well-built and with the option to have claws on their hands and feet. A nice square jaw would be the icing on the cake!
The irony here is that during an interview, Yoshi said ""If we did create a male design for the Viera, he would be quite elegant, handsome, and slim. He would look more like the Elezen race, but with bunny ears." hell even the female Viera look very similar to female Elezen, right down to the proportions, its not a stretch to assume male Viera will look very similar to male Elezen.
No one has any solid baseline on what males should look like since they have never appeared in canon, so people are allowed to discuss their own ideas of what they should look like, without anyone being snide about it. Let people have their fun man.
May I suggest some reading?
DeathOfTheAuthor
Kids can definitely have 6 packs. Especially those who train from an early age. Despite this, this style is almost directly associated to teens in Anime. In most anime, adults are not portrayed in this manner whatsoever. Is this art well drawn? Yes. But it's not a very good representation of an adult male viera, and in any anime would be seen and identified as someone who is not over the age of 16. If it was not your intention, again I suggest you do some reading about the Death of the Author.I just posted my vision of male viera to show my support. I personally like my design and would fantasia if they looked like that. I don't think it's child-like at all. It's just my style. and how is a 6-pack child-like, anyway? loool granted, only one of them is toned, but I would personally go for a less toned look.
Most men do not look like twigs either, and those who would be seen in lore as super assassins, most definitely do not look this way. Had the females looked more to this description, I wouldn't have so much contention against this. However the females are already in the game, and they look way more adult than any other race.
Again, in case I didn't make myself clear, please read about Death of the Author. You don't get to dictate how art is interpreted.
having it similar to sephiroth would be pretty neat
if male viera got that dancers hair it would be pretty much sephiroth + rabbit ears
