They actually come from Koji Fox... but the ones for the Au Ra weren't posted until about a week before Early Access, so on or about the 21st is when it's to be expected.

They've likely got a lot on their plate at the moment. Even if the naming conventions aren't posted until after the expansion goes live...we'll be able to work out what the naming conventions are based on what we see in-game. I'd also be willing to wager that the character creation for Hrothgar and Viera, at launch, will have the same lore abiding random name generator as the other playable races.

For Heavensward the Au Ra naming conventions were posted that same day as the last Letter from the Producer Live before Heavensward launched... which also happened to be the eve of early access (June 18, 2015).

I am hoping that HW precedent means they will be releasing the naming conventions sooner rather than later, but that might be wishful thinking. I'd rather have my new name sorted out before the servers go down for early access. It would be one less thing for me to worry about.

Hmmm... Doesn't look like Gildrein has posted anything here since 2017. Perhaps they have left the company? Guess we'll have to wait for someone else to post them.
