Okay, if that is so why is it you see a lot of people saying the same words directed but nothing is done can you please explain why that is or its just favoritism at this point?

    Or

Like I said belongs to a group of friends who don't report because they "Like" that person to much to report letting them get away with it, which meaning only go for those who don't follow others routines.

I find that very disturbing because I have noticed people calling others names who still exist till today and even it being against ToS some people get reported for it some people don't and I believe its because of what I said its the whole they are a friend let them slide we don't know this guy he isn't a regular lets get him.

Which means the whole thing is based on reports if the person doesn't get reported then they get a free pass.

A post getting reported is absolutely what determines if action is taken. I feel confident in making that claim. However, I don’t know how you can claim favoritism based on regular posters always people to get off scot-free. I have a pretty high post count myself and am very active on here, but I was still hit in this past incident. Post count or regularity here doesn’t mean anything—some of the more popular forum posters are now permanently banned because of pettiness.

The more popular the more likely you will have "haters" "watching" you ready to reporting anything that can get you in trouble. Also, if these forums are remotely similar to how Blizzard works, the volume of reports for a single post must be very important for a moderator to intervene (let's be real, I'm pretty sure reports in these forums must fly around). And well, we already know what kind of players are more likely to report, probably that's why forum rules enforcement feels random at times.

I don't think mods are acting on bad faith, probably all they are doing is following the forum guidelines and whatever internal rules they have, like only check a topic with X number of reports or more. However, and especially in-game, certain norms are very open to interpretation and that's sucks.
