Shows that it's the most request feature ever. This makes me think SE will just go by law of demand and give male viera and female hrotgar to us. The question imo is when, and I'd say 6.0

They understand people want it, it isn't going to magically make the resources available nor get the approval from the higher ups to increase staff enough to handle the PERMANENT increase in workflow.

There actually is such a thing, just not quite the way he described it (which actually has more to do with profit-maximisation... of course you'd have to factor in (opportunity) costs for that.)

That said, if these figures are maintained/improved on, I can see them adding the missing genders.

It would also be more than likely one of the top disliked ones but we don't have that option unfortunately.

For one, without such an option you're left with nothing but idle speculation.

For another, it makes zero difference how many people "dislike" it, since what they will base their decision on is the projected return on investment of the feature, not "likes" or "dislikes" - the "likes" simply affect how probable it is that it'll catch their attention. If they're seriously interested in capitalising on the profit opportunity, they would likely undertake further research to see if the demand is there. SE has ample means of doing so and I am fairly certain that they have a good enough grasp of their own game's player statistics that they can infer as much even without undertaking such research. To put it another way, they're not equivalent in terms of profit opportunity.

It isn't gonna magically appear, but it will for sure show SE that it's completely worth to put the resources onto it, meaning that it's likely that the up people at SE decided to give more resources to the devs to give us male viera, since the high demand shows it would mean a lot of money for them

Like he didn't care about those that didn't want (female) Viera when that was going for 4+ years; there was a handful of people constantly and without rest denouncing adding (female) Viera.

Indeed. The amount of attention the topic garnered has already put it on their radar, so it's accomplished that much at least. The decision to add the two missing genders will come down to whether they can justify the cost, and not much else.

In fact, I doubt there's people who don't want male viera at all other than those who feel attacked by their supporters, but their probelm isn't male viera more so that they don't want some ppl to enjoy it

I believe a lot of the people against it expressed concern for the proposed designs and the baggage that comes with them. Yoshi-P having to make a statement stating that child-like viera will not be a thing certainly did not help the perception of this thread where outsiders are concerned.

I can understand ppl fearing sexy alphinaud with bunny ears. Thankfully that has been confirmed to not happen
