    I suppose what I said wasn't what you wanted to hear.

    But, I'm not saying "Noes, u cant haz ur drop rate / lootz fix."

    I'm pointing out that there's a out-of-the-frying-pan-into-the-fire problem: if it's easy to get all the junk you want from the Ifrit and Moogle events, there's not much left for you to do (unless getting all classes to 50 is appealing and doing your own forbidden materia work ad infinitum).

    Running out of things to do would be as much (if not more) of a contributing factor for people to give up their subscription as being frustrated with the low rate of reward. Ironically, it's that slim chance of getting what you want that's really the only tool in the chest they have to keep you playing the grindy, repetitive content. The same grindy, repetitive content that some hardcore players apparently want to see more of in all areas of the game, to much fanfare and applause.
