I liked how he lifted his hands and everyone immediately stopped. His power grows greater by the day.

Also, during fanfest he was on stage with all the other developers from Soken with the bangin' music to the sidequest writers. There is good recognition to who does what and when. I think this guy just didn't do research or missed previous fanfests/live letters.Lead singer always takes all the credit, whether they like it or not lol. Also as an aside he does have a lot of responsibility, so what he does is take on a massive amount of responsibility (especially as he is both producer and director, taking responsibility of two vast fields). Could just call him Yoshi-R, for responsibility haha.
In this see him (and those other crazy high positions) as the captain of the ship, if he's asleep on the job with the best team ever then we get potentially an amazing unsinkable ship that it goes right into sinking on an iceburg (Titanic). Can't really credit the captain for building all of the ship but still massively important. Also some captains are way more hands on than others (perhaps some don't deserve any credit, but that'd be really hard to know unless the drama is out in the open).
That said I do agree that it's valuable to see other people in the team and value them too, because they're important. Reminds me how a lot of writers or art teams very rarely get fame status but it makes such a huge part of the game. Music escapes from the blackhole fairly often though, at least compared to writers lol. I like when SE does those presentations about what and how they do stuff.

From some fan-made documentaries, it was clear that Yoshi P knew about what fans wanted, (as he has played MMOs himself), and what the 1.0 devs were doing wrong. One thing that stood out to me, was that iirc, he asked the 1.0 people what they knew of other MMOs, and what they were doing, and they couldn't answer. They hadn't even been looking at the competition, what they were doing right or wrong, which seems like poor business practice to me.
(It's been years since I watched the docos, so my memory may be fuzzy on stuff).
Also, managing people's creativity is important.
The doco talked about how in 1.0, that sometimes people would spend stupid amounts of time on modeling things, trying to make them look perfect, when in reality they should have made "good enough" and move onto the next model. For example that I think was mentioned in a doco, that something simple like a barrel had someone tunnel visioning on it, and spending hundreds of hours on making it look good, and then looking out of place compared to other objects due to the extreme detail.
Basically 1.0 had people highly specialized in their areas, but very little communication between them

I also like how out of all the people presenting Yoshi-p was the only one to actually get a chant. Just shows he's our own personal rockstar.

I used to pride myself on the fact that I never really fangirled anyone or anything, but....
So much this.

@ MrKusakabe, kind of an ignorant comment you have made..
It is because of his vision that this game was turned around for the good.
Sure the designers, writers, etc.. contribute alot but Yoshi is the face of the game and does work hard as well. Every game needs direction.
We have seen what games turn out as without it, like say Anthem for example.
Besides i know some people that work for Yoshi believe me or not i only know what they have told me, and Yoshi is not lazy
Not saying decisions made have been perfect but still
I love that people were chanting Yoshi P and reacting to the trailer. It also seemed more genuine than the obvious Bethesda shills

Honestly, his post is bait .Yeah, I mean he only brought this game back from the dead after 1.0 failed. But no, he didn't do anything at all. As the director he doesn't contribute anything. /s
It's comments like this guys that make me wish people actually looked into things before they opened their mouth to spout off nonsense.
Ignore it, a person with common sense will know the Producer and Director does a lot.
He says he rather have people that create the good ingame content...and he saw him at E3.
There is a reason why FFXIV is so successful. It not him alone that makes everything great but he's one of the biggest reasons and as the Producer and Director(normally its two different people but he's taking on both)
He deserves praise.

Out of all the SE ppl that appeared,Yoshi P didnt just appear like a boss on stage but he was also humble and confident and loud,i loved it!
