We can't be sure anything we have seen from trailers is intended to mean what it appears to mean. You can overlap dialogue on different images to have a new reading.
How can you tell it's spoiling when you don't know the story itself? Maybe that line is in the opening cutscene and the whole expansion builds upon it. Maybe it's just a lie.
If they chose to put up the trailer that way, I'm pretty sure they want to confuse us, that's what they have been doing since the beginning of ShB teasing.

The only thing we know is that we are going on the First to fight the Flood of Light, becoming the Warrior of Darkness. We don't know when, how, why, with whom, how long it will take...
