While I do believe he is standing in the same arena, it looks like he is standing on the Protagonist's/entry side of the arena rather then the the throne side.

Why not both? Sin Eaters are people flooded with Light, so maybe that is the first's version of G'raha Tia who is then either flooded with Light or already was, and is or is turned into Innocence?

As for the H/Z Primals... I mean, it is Square. I take absolutely nothing in a trailer at face value. No reason why Solus couldn't be lying, or the next thing he said was, "or at least that's what they WANT you think" or something. Great for hype, but we'll see when it drops.

Hmm yeah might be possible that it's G'raha Tia or just completely new character and that has nothing to do with Innocence, also Innocence being around the top in the Sin Eater hierarchy and all apparently, but It's fun to just guess.

Though there are some funny fringe cases, like the elezen greeting the WoL in Lakeland being the carriage driver from the start of ARR.

You're most likely right, but there's no guarantee there. Could be fate that there would always be a G'raha Tia. Could be same character model but be something like "B'raha Tia" or whatever, and is just the counterpoint. Or maybe it's the GT we know and he goes to the First with us to show us the way - to throw wide the gates - and he is taken and turned into Innocence.

Lots of ways they could go with it.
