I need to mull this over, but if Hydaelyn and Zodiark are allegedly the "eldest of primals" ... Hm.

Knee-jerk first impression, I'm hoping it's true in a way that doesn't change much practically speaking. When we see the insides of a primal, it's a spiritual aether crystal core with veins spreading throughout a corporeal shell in the form of what it's believed to be, yes?

What if that is our home? Hydaelyn is a primal-like core under a corporeal shell that makes up our planet and the Lifestream are the veins.

With regard to the world we know, love, and fought for, changing that at all seems ... ill-advised.

Right. We'll know the truth soon enough, though. It's a theory that has been proposed before around these parts; usually to a frigid reception and outright ridicule.

I really wish this information wasn't in the trailer. I would have preferred to find this out in game. Did anyone notice the same guy in the beginning? Why is he on the first? Is he just an easter egg? So many questions.

Edit: Giaus is also in the Crystal tower with us so he may be our first tank trust.

That stinger really does change the perspective on well...pretty much everything related to Hydaelyn, Zodiark, and the WoL. Assuming it's true, of course, considering that Solus is just about the last person you'd want to trust readily.

I also kind of suspected the Sin Eaters were light-twisted denizens of the First not unlike the voidsent, as well as Eulmore being in a pact with them in exchange for their relative safety.

Don't forget the part that there are 2 Minfilia with one being from the Source that we know and the younger one seems to be the Minfilia born in the First who will be our Trust Companion.

As for the reveal about the two Gods, well i saw that coming for Years now as I have always speculated that Zodiark and Hydaelyn have always been the oldest Primals of this world and from the beginning they were always born from a era long forgotten and the original WoL actually tried to fight against Hydaelyn and Zodiark but failed due to becoming too weak to defeat both of them.
