It's not like anything we can say would convince AFK healers that their party would appreciate them chipping in now and then.
Then move on. If you've accepted that they will not be convinced, then just move on. Attacking them does nothing. It just makes you look childish.
Which is in no way what I said. But I get it, "chill and relax" translate to "lazy and not contribute". Actually, I don't get how it translates to that because it's not even remotely what it means.
I'm pretty excited for these changes! I wanted to be a WHM to spend my time healing and not DPSing and ended up doing both in high values. It's great but I'm more interested in keeping party members healthy. I can see this being exciting for end-game content like what we currently have for SB EX / Savage / Ultimate.
It's more a faint twist than a shove. To pick a job specifically so you can "relax", as compared to any other role, is precisely an intent to be lazy.
From what I've heard, this may have been a worry just from how things get translated, and yoshi uses "pure healing" to differentiate from shield healing (which he's apparently done before, prior to that liveletter). So instead of the statement being about shoving all healers into only healing, it was really just about homogenizing them in an effort to balance them more. But we'll have to wait till Shadowbringers to see for sure.
I was about to say. Even ex roulette is basically just me not healing and that’s when 95% of the time the dps is slow so the tank actually takes damage. If you get good dps you’re basically useless. Reason why if you want to do speed clears or farm you don’t even take a healer you just go 3 dps and a tank.
AFK sounds pretty close to what my experience would be if I didn’t dps.
Anyways I expect this to change a bit in 5.0 but anyone who thinks healing requirements will be higher enough to warrant these changes or be happy for more healing is in for a rude awakening. They’ll never bump it up to the level of ultimate content and even that is about 70% downtime.
