Have you actually done any savage in Stormblood or are you basing yourself off of assumptions?

I know this is a massive troll thread, but actually no. The real king healer will be SCH by a massive amount. They didn't lose much in the way of mitigation, but they gained tons and tons of direct heals and regens. It's actually pretty ridiculous that SE didn't see a problem with giving them so many strong heals.
Exactly, here I am, a Scholar sitting and pondering: "What in the flying **** am I going to do with all these practically free, high potency oGCD heals?"I know this is a massive troll thread, but actually no. Now don't ask me how I know, but I know the OP has zero idea what they are talking about. (Although I guess that's obvious.)
Oh Oh....OH..... OH. I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS!!!Exactly, here I am, a Scholar sitting and pondering: "What in the flying **** am I going to do with all these practically free, high potency oGCD heals?"

The only thing WHM is going to be god-tier at is having the least amount of adjustments made to them during the course of the expansion.
Part if me wishes OP was right lol. SCH has been top tier for too long. And by too long I mean since the game came out lmao. They could afford to be humbled for at least 1 expac.
Scholar will still be top tier and will remain top tier so long as it retains its place as the king of OGCDs.
To be fair, SCH didn't actually exist when the game came out. They and SMN weren't added until about halfway into ARR's lifespan, and they weren't OP back then, but complimentary to WHM as SCH had difficulty keeping up with healing requirements by themselves in challenging content (especially with AOE healing). They didn't become king of Heal-Castle until HW when AST was buffed from its initially poor position and it started to fight with WHM for the same spot while not managing to compete with SCH's for theirs. Then as the xpacs rolled on and the classes started to homogenize SCH started to fill its weaknesses while WHM and AST continued to fight amongst themselves (excluding the brief moment just after SB launched before the aetherflow trait was added, of course).
And now they just made all three classes close to the same, which is just super. Because you know, if everyone is super, no one will be.

I have 3 shows for you to watch: White wall, Green wall and Blue wall. They're all walls, does that make watching the paint dry on them any more fun? Are they all super? Just because they're all the same doesn't make them super. You want to make them equivalent, but different. Which, you'll just have to belive me here, is actually quite a different thing than them all being the same. In ARR Sch and Whm were equivalent but different. Granted, the fairy made things a little OP for the scholar, but had it been implemented like the changes to it in ShB, it wouldn't have been as much so, I think. (Note: I don't agree with Eos and Selene being the same or anything, just that their abilities require the scholar's command and they don't heal people on their own without any imput from the scholar.) The problem is, AST came in and they decided to make it "What if WHM and SCH had a baby?" instead of giving it its own unique way to heal.
"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."

Definitely been saying this since Heavensward. I got no clue what they were thinking with that one. Sometimes I feel like with tanks and healers especially, they have two flavors: cut and dry. Somehow every new job in these roles cant be either cut or dry, so they come up with a half a cut and half a dry, in case you get matched with a cut and no dry or a dry and no cut. This all after many multiple discussions of "there are other ways to make a (insert role/job here) do things differently, and/or compliment the existing ones, without pushing either one onto the bench.
