Housing demolition timer need to be changed! Sitting on your property needs to count.

To be fair to OP nothing else in the game can get taken away from you even if you don't log in or don't use it for X amount of time. And this idea of your property being able to get automatically demolished is pretty archaic these days in gaming. So I can understand how the demolition system can be shocking to them.

But I have to admit that it's a bit weird he apparently visited his garden so often but never went inside the house.

Agreed, but the information is out there. In the end it's his fault for not keeping up with news. Yes, it sucks, and I think most of us are unhappy with the housing system, but in the end it is ones own responsibility to keep up with changes and information as long as SE provides them in time, which they do.

Its about the notice which is the root of my post in game not outside. It can be a pop up like everything else when you log on to remind you. It is all that is needed with changes like this. They also do this with everything else and not for housing is wrong.

Like i said, in-game timers show it aswell as several mails.

There are not several mails. ONLY one email 9 days before its gone. Which most email servers sees as spam so you not see it often outside of game. In game moogle letter to owner would work better as well as a pop up for a major thing like this. They offer it for much less things in game.

A notification indicating that the estate is being prepared for auto-demolition will appear in the Timers interface in the Duty tab of the Main Menu.

Thirty-five days of inactivity
An e-mail will be delivered to the registered e-mail addresses of all free company members, or the owner of a private estate, indicating the estate is being prepared for auto-demolition.

Forty-two days of inactivity
An e-mail will be delivered to the registered e-mail addresses of all free company members, or the owner of a private estate, indicating that the estate will be demolished automatically in three days.

Forty-five days of inactivity
The estate will be automatically demolished.

I checked my mail and i got 2 mails. I thought it was more but turns out it was for my FC but it's still 2 mails.

Fact remains, for FORTY-FIVE days you not once thought oh ok maybe time to enter the house. It's not on SE to remind you and yet they do. Information says you get a mail and most would make sure to check the junk folder.

You can wine all you want, it's your fault you lost the house, and if you don't even enter the house, I hope it now went to someone using it.

I stopped using my house, so i let it demolish so someone else can enjoy it.

Again my point is in game pop up when you log on daily to say go in house. Which should not be a thing in the first place. Would be needed. I used the house the way I wanted. That is all.

And my point is that more handholding isn't needed. You get mails and have information in the game aswell. You know its 45 days before demolition starts, it's not SE's responsibility to think for you.

Some people like just decorating the yard and turning it into their own little Zen garden or whatever.

That's fine and all, doesn't take away the fact that you still need to go inside to reset the demolition timer. If you don't, "but I only use my garden" doesn't change anything.
