One way to win house for yourself.. I guess.. just report other players at placard, and put them in in-game jail.

I got reported by this incredibly toxic person in Eureka who was pulling mobs away from a light farming party on purpose, breaking our chain and trolling everybody there, after I called them out in chat. I went to jail and have a warning on my account now, and they're probably fine. There is definitely some kind of a disturbing reverse abuse trend going on with the reporting. To think you can lose the account you've worked for years on because a toxic person reported YOU, is very disheartening. All Mog Station purchases, all hours invested gone, because of mods not looking into the situation thoroughly.

I think that the game can obviously improve on its many flaws (unbalanced healers, genderlocked races, limited character customization, mediocre graphics, super super bad early game etc...) But considering the current MMO market, it is the best game right now. I bet thoug hthat if in 2-3 years MMOS arise again, this game will have to fix all of the above on their next expansion (balance healers, makes healers more fun, ungenderlock races, fix the early game, more character customization) if they want to keep up with WoW, that at that point, will be on their next expansion, and after seeing how legion came after WoD, I believe their next expansion will be absolutely amazing. Also, ESO could potentially rise, and there might be a new MMO that takes the crown

I disagree with several of your points including comparing the game to WoW where they (ActiBlizz) have taken giant steps BACKWARDs in term of QoL. Genderlock in particular cant really be considered a flaw as opposed to oh falling through the world and dying and being forced to take 10 minutes rez sickness and costly gear damage such as still happens in WoW; Its simply a lack of pixels yeah it sucks but it's not a flaw, it's a design choice that will be addressed at a later time.As far as graphics again compared to WoW? Are you serious you cant even see cloth or hair texture design in WoW and it's (WoW) art style in areas looks like aged milk.Again bad comparison.And the Early game is average for an MMO at least you're getting a story and only some of them are go forth and bring me bear butt for some reason. Not to mention you don't have to kill about fifty to sixty things to get the 4 items you need to turn in. I'll agree on the customization options but there is still alot to be offered even within it's confines height sliders are win.

A friend of mine got sent to a private room for saying "shit" in chat during a failed dungeon pull once. He promptly got warned and has shied away from speaking since.

Not a fan of GW2/WoW/BDO?

my favorite yes its 14, but after come GW2, that in this moment, both are better than wow. I Played wow since launch and stoped after pandaria, and since then, i been in 14 for more than 5 years.

The company philosophy has changed a lot, blizz today dont care about player base anymore, its just like EA who cares about quick money. Its been years i dont buy any EA games.

I gave up about houses. It cost too mutch to buy, difficult to find one, and also if you dont play and visit you lose one. And after this quote...guees ill never have one.

Well theres a lot of players in the world that still play super mario world game now-a-days.

Final Fantasy XIV is definitely the best mmo at the moment. But eventually other MMOs will catch up, even surpassing the game. The game really needs to improve on its graphics engine and it’s character customization to officially be king of MMOs.

Even free MMOs with no subscriptions have better customization and graphics than this game. It’s just the free ones lack in replay value and content, where FFXIV doesn’t.

graphics aren't everything. Proof of that is classic wow getting a lot of hype even thought the graphics are way worse than BFA wow.

With that said, FFXIV graphics are fine by me. I prefer to have more resolution and framerate.

I love FFXIV social aspects, but it's combat is really boring in most cases. It's what the community does on servers that has made so many memories for me on this game.

MMO's are a great thing which connect people together, I really hope they will be a genre which is always around

After 6 months of playing, I finally hit ilvl399 and have accomplished most of what I wanted to do (with the exception of the Beast Tribe quests and a couple other things) but I'll focus on them once Shadowbringers hits. I'm worried this game is reaching the end of it's lifespan. A game like oldschool Runescape can last forever I think, but I'm not sure how I feel about the idea that this game might be rebooted for the next generation of technology and I'll end up losing all my progress.
