This is something I don't understand. The OP said they ONLY had English checked in the duty finder. Which means the other people had to have had that checked as well. They had to know they would get paired with others that didn't speak the same language as them. So why not speak English if someone else in the party ONLY knows that language? They had to check it to get paired with the OP. I'm not trying to be nasty or all "everyone speak my language." I'm honestly confused and curious. Some advice that I didn't see covered.
If you're going to impose on other people--you should be prepared for them to push-back. You asking them to speak your Language is no more different than them asking you to speak theirs. So you have to be aware that there's a 'cost' to your request. You weren't just giving advice--you were actually asking them to change their behavior to accommodate you. And while that request doesn't seem very taxing--it comes with a price regardless. And sometimes people don't want to change, and you'll have to have the backbone to deal with that kind of rebuttal if you're going to impose. Otherwise, I suggest just never impose on others. (also note, you're under no obligation to give advice or tips to other people. You can absolutely be a mute and enjoy a duty).

I am on Chaos (play on Omega). I'm happy to help you out. Also, can I recommend The Nervous Eorzean at https://discordapp.com/invite/4t8ynTt (assuming the link still works, can't check as it says I'm banned), very relaxed bunch of people. Very friendly and supportive. You should be able to find people to gel with there.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
People use all languages for df to get faster ques. Granted I don’t exactly know how much faster it is.This is something I don't understand. The OP said they ONLY had English checked in the duty finder. Which means the other people had to have had that checked as well. They had to know they would get paired with others that didn't speak the same language as them. So why not speak English if someone else in the party ONLY knows that language? I know this might enrage a few people here, but so far, whenever a run is going bad, or the healer behaves strangely, or the tank does stop every 2 meters for 10 seconds - I press "O" - the party window - and see "F", "F" and "F". It became a meme, a running gag that is true in 9 out of 10 cases...
French players being a very weird species. In ever game. 2007, when I played MapleStory, the French ones were outright irritating. In League of Legends, don't ask. I know what "FDP" and "TG" means now and also how it's pronounced...
In FF14 however, despite the "What is this guy even trying" person you might encounter, I had a bunch speaking English despite not having "E" ticked in their profile. They listened, they learned and... they improved!
My fellow countrymen, the Germans, well, they tend to suddenly start to speak German when they notice they are in majority. That is absolutely awful for the one or two left and is equally anti-social.
I know how you feel though. I changed at least servers (Lich -> Shiva -> Ultros [Woops, U.S. server with timezone issues!] -> Zodiark) but until I found the greatest (in my opinion^^), Zodiark, it cost me lots of nerves and some money.
Some servers do have a bad vibe indeed...
So you might try changing servers instead of the whole datacentre.
Sincerely,

Yes, I think this is the biggest issue you pointed out. What is the point of me checking only "E" in the language settings if I am getting paired with people who cannot even say a word in English, but they checked that "E" anyway, because of the queue times. This is something I don't understand. The OP said they ONLY had English checked in the duty finder. Which means the other people had to have had that checked as well. My example in this post shows how flawed this is. It is like people become mentors, not to actually become helpful to players, but to gain that crown next to your nickname. This is too idealistic to actually work in real life.
If not for the argument that has been said here, I do not think I would be ever in need of writing this post.
Depending on the duty, thats not true (anymore). A while back they changed at least the roulettes to pick just anyone. So even if a french or german person had the good intention to only check D or F and not E, they could end up with the OP. (Also: at least the german version of the game encourages you to check all DF-languages if queues take to long)This is something I don't understand. There is also the matter of how well someone knows english - I had occassions when we got through a dungeon just fine with little communication (in english) and people ended up not understanding the english explantion for a boss-fight because that was beyond their limits.
And sometimes its really just easier and quicker to give an explantion in ones native language. Personally I'm making it a point to always sum up what I just said in german if any non-german-speakers are present, but if it benefits the outcome of the run I'll defenitly speak/explain in german for people who dont understand enough english to be able to understand a more or less complexe strategy.

Adding to the roulette discussion, it's basically required that you tick all languages for getting into duties as an English speaker on the JP servers. Apparently leveling roulette ignores settings, but everything else follows them - so as soon as players hit level 50 and have to queue for eight-man content and dungeons from the 50/60 roulette, queue times become massively longer for someone who only has English selected - as it is by default.

Check out Tonberry on Elemental. It's the English server for JP DC and though it has a lot of English speaking players, most are still Japanese so It's the best of both worlds. Although I can't ensure you won't have such instances, most EN players are from Australia and are mostly chill.Hello fellow FFXIV players.
I have a rather unorthodox issue and I would like to ask you for your thoughts regarding data centres. I will try to stay as polite as I can, because I do not want you to misunderstand my words here.
Currently I am a resident of Louisoix on Chaos and since I had started playing FFXIV at the beginning of March, I have faced a few rude or unpleasant individuals who I needed to report for harassment unfortunately. Almost all of these people I mentioned were either from Moogle server and also 1 French player from Ragnarok server. To give you an example of the problem I am facing- I am an English speaker with only "E" set in the languages options. Yesterday I queued for trial roulette and after my greeting I was met with some chatter in foreign tongues and after I asked if they could use English(because it seems natural for me to use English in order to communicate properly and give ourselves tips during a duty), I was scolded by a French player from Ragnarok server, who I previously mentioned, for my request. What is more, he was acting arrogant for the rest of the trial and it was all due to my attempt to be able to speak with and understand my teammates. The other examples were very snarky comments left just mere second while exitting the duty or just pure rudeness, which I happened to be a subject of once.
I am a very sensitive person and I get almost depressive when things like this happen to me. I am just looking for a relatively quiet and kind environment and I have a feeling that, because of it, Chaos does not really suit me.
My question is- Do you happen to have similar experiences on Light data centre? Is it a place where English is used most often? How does the French community look like there? Is it all the same as in Chaos and in the end it does not really matter where I play? I would also be very appreciative of a opinion of someone who used to play on both Chaos and Light.
I was also interested in Japanese servers, since I stared studying Japanese recently and how kind people from Japan tend to be or North American ones, due to, I presume, very high amount of English speakers there, but I do not think it would be a good idea, since not only it would be(at least for me) hypocritical to play on foreign servers, but also because of very high ping.
My biggest thanks for reading my post and I hope someone would be able to clarify these problems of mine.
