My Aetheryte Earring isn't giving bonus.

All EXP%+ items only affect kill exp, but I agree that the items should say that. Armory Bonus and Road to 60 are the only two things that can affect exp from other sources (armory works on fates/leves/potd, Road to 60 doubles exp from all sources including quests).

If you had no other +exp effects, +80% is what you should be getting with the earring and armory bonus on your level 62 job fighting a level 62 mob. If you still got +80% after you removed the earring, it was likely from chain kill exp (you get +20% from chain 1 and +5% for each chain after on a mob the same level, but I'm not sure if higher level mobs increase that at all). Either way, +80% is the correct amount for earring+armory if you didn't have rest exp or FC buffs or food etc.

It wasn't from a chain kill, I assure you. A chain kill gets me 100% exp bonus. Unless the earring applies to me while it's in my bag. But everywhere I see they say it has to be equipped.
