New DRK is awful. Here’s why and what could be done about it.

I'll judge the new gameplay when I've, ya know, played it. Devs are players too. If they mess up, then they messed up. They're human. But uh, I'm not going to make pre-release footage that in every videos is made clear to be not final as an end all.

I've already raided on WAR in sigmascape though, think I got enough.

I of course understand that the devs are humans, which is why I don't demand some massive changes to be done in mere few weeks. This was however already supposed to be them fixing their previous mistakes.
I have been patient when Yoshi said DRK can not be fixed withing SB patch cycle and have been content enough with things we got in 4.3. Shadowbringers though, was supposed to be the time we get the promised fixes - not time when the playstyle we enjoy gets replaced with another WAR.

This is the one thing absolutely not a one complainer about class changes gets. Expansion change up's are NOT for them they never were. Change ups are made for two reasons and two reasons only.

2.To appeal to a wider and fresher market of New players in order to entice them with a class they can pick up and go with.

The issue with this logic is, that if you keep making all jobs "appeal to the wider audience" by making less played jobs work like the more played ones, you will end up appealing only to the audience that was already happy with other jobs to play, leaving those who wanted something else with nothing. You will appeal to less people.
The key to actual mass appeal is to offer variety of options with unique playstyles, so that there's something for everyone.

this is unnecesary and have nothing to do with PLD since we are discusing the gameplay issues that don't affect any of the other jobs, and PLD was king OT the entire SB.

If Yoshi is ignoring the cries of the JP DRK players, our voices are definitely not going to reach them. We can do everything in our power to try and come up with ways to help fix the issues with DRK but we'll be ignored at the end of the day. We were patient and hopeful that they would listen to us and give us fixes that we've have long awaited but instead am only met with a copy paste playstyle with their excuse of not wanting to change too much of class identity when they are homogenizing the tanks. As much as I would love for the changes that were suggested to come into fruition, the reality is that it won't and the most likely outcome is that something that we didn't ask for would be the fix that they are gonna give us a bs reason as to why they fixed it and not the main issue.

HW Dark still the best DRK

I'm one of the rare few that prefer SB Dark, but either would be better than what it looks like we're getting for ShB.

Dark Missionary is fine. Raidwide damage is usually magic and it's a minor trade off all things considered.
Think of it as the price paid by TBN being straight up better than all of its counterparts while simultaneously being lower in cd.

I always mained all the tanks and I've raided with all of them in multiple raid tiers from ARR to SB but since HW's release my favourite has been DRK (in ARR I was a huge WAR fanboy, PLD was really fucking boring back then). I had no problem switching to other tanks if needed but whenever I had the choice I always chose DRK. I just loved its fast-paced and chaotic resource-based playstyle. Sadly in ShB my favourite tank will probably switch to being GNB or PLD if DRK ends up being the one we've seen in the media tour without any changes (and I'm not talking about mere potency tweaks which won't ever fix the gameplay issues of the job). I'll still play all of them in case I need to switch for whatever reason, but I know for a fact that I'll never enjoy this media tour iteration. I'll surely still like the aesthetics but this is not enough to make me keep playing a job in the long run.

Stopped reading at "blatant homogenization". People need to stop misusing this term.

Also, MP management is still very much a thing with new DRK. And it's got a very unique identity.
