Whats with the drop rates SE?

As I'm typing this.. We've been sitting infront of the copper zahar'ak coffer chest, we've killed this guy for at least 30 times, I'm not even counting anymore, we've got one key so far.

What makes this retarded?

First of all, to get one key out of 30 something kills is really a pain.

Secondly, to even obtain one key, to get another "random" chance to actually obtain the desired item out of the chest when all the other things in it are pure garbage.

Oh and I don't even want to mention about killing ifrit 20 times and only obtaining one measly totem for all those kills.

Why do you want people to spend a lifetime trying to obtain these things SE? The items in the chests not THAT good anyways, yeah they're set items and you get a neat little achievement if you collect them all, but still, you can make much better gears with crafting. Hell, you'd probably level a craft from 0 to 50 before ever getting a complete set of things from these coffers.

Seriously though, I'm only half serious when I'm writing this post and it's 4 a.m while being at this spot for 2-3 hours already. Even now when I'm finishing this post we've only still got 1 key total.

Raise the droprates of KEYS. I don't mind opening the chests a couple hundred times to actually obtain the items, but not even getting a key for hell of a many kills is just wrong.

Don't make this game a pain to play, make it fun SE.

This sample is far from scientific testing on the drop rates, my group usually hits 1/8 or so for keys at least when we did it while ago.

Yeah seriously..if people don't have anything to contribute they should just not say anything at all. >.< Anyway yeah I agree the drop rate on these things does get extremely frustrating. My BF is like 0/200+ with an Ifrit weapon. That is kind of...lame? He has like 3 stacks of DM and no weapon....sad.

I haven't used them for a reason. You can't RESET them, setting them is final. I don't know yet if I'll be playing a mage, or a melee fighter. Even though all my combat jobs are 50.
