This, and PotD too, before the potion was added.
And even with that, it's not that rare to end up with people who just don't read their skills and think the one last learned must be better than the one before lol
i was tanking a group through that one elemental place with son woukong as the final boss. ( sorry i kinda forgot the name of the place) anyway, so here i was a au ra WAR escorting nothing but lalfels around. i was laughing so hard at the size difference, i mean you could have stack all 3 of them on top of each other and they might have just equaled my height.

My static has (for now, this'll change in ShB) two Miqo'te, two Hyur, one male Au Ra and 3 Lalafell. Whenever we have those "split into two groups" mechanics to deal with, it's always the former 4 in one pile and the latter 4 in the other. There have been multiple jokes about this, and I think just last raid we thought of that same "we could probably stack all 3 lalas in a trench coat to match their horned friend" thing.i was tanking a group through that one elemental place with son woukong as the final boss. So I was farming moogle tomestones on WHM and i got Temple of Qarn. Easy peasy, right? ...right?
They were all leaves, a SAM, a RDM and what I first assumed was a WAR. The SAM said they're new and asked for tips, and the tank dashes off before I can type anything or cast protect. Aaaah, I think to myself, it's gonna be that sort of run. Then I start noticing that the tank's health is literally melting, he's dancing around the mobs, cause who needs positionals and eating every aoe in sight. Lost him during the 1st pull because he melted while my skills were on cooldown - with a regen on. On a closer inspection, he was a MRD with lvl 20 gear, which explained a lot.
We proceed to the first boss, and I try to tell them about the doom debuff, but the tank went in head first, literally no one read the chat, and i kamikaze myself back to the start to try and explain the mechanics again. This time, I only lost the tank to the debuff, and we 3 man-ed the job because our MRD decided to revive at the beginning of the dungeon. I was beginning to question whether this was a legit player or a bot at this point.
The 2nd boss managed to be even more glorious, as none of them was grasping the concept of killing the soulstone first and dodging the aoes. Which was made worse by the fact that the aggro was bouncing like crazy, mainly on myself and the dps. Took 3 or 4 tries to take the darn thing down.
When we got to the 3rd boss, I explained the mechanics, and I wish I had screenshot the scenery of us being overrun by Sun Jurors because literally no one was killing them on the platforms and me holding aggro while the tank danced around. We wiped. We managed to clear the second time, as it seems the SAM decided to follow my lead and do the mechanics.
In the end, the tank said gg.

To be fair, the golem doesn't follow enmity. It just randomly targets whoever it wants. The 2nd boss managed to be even more glorious, as none of them was grasping the concept of killing the soulstone first and dodging the aoes. A friend of mine was new to tanking, got this dungeon, and his group yelled and screamed at him for not holding aggro while Mr. No Aggro Table was No Aggro Tabling the party.
thats what you get when you mix wow players with ff14At this point I'm not even surprised but I met a level 60 summoner in Cutter's Cry who didn't know how to use his dots. Constant Ruin spam throughout the entire dungeon up until the point where I had to ask for him to use his full kit. Checking his info revealed all jobs were at 60 or above, but they were probably boosted. Am I annoyed? Just a bit.
Boosting was a mistake.
