The Tools that Edgar or any given Cid may have used could be incorporated as abilities or weapon skills?

Libra could be an ability that reveals more detailed information about the enemy (HP, MP, TP, elemental/ailment weaknesses and strengths). Else, a debuff that increases effectiveness against the target.

Drill as a melee-based weapon skill (for a ranged-based class) that deals damage, ignores defense, and/or may afflict a defense down/deprotect effect.

Maybe a type of Grenade "weapon skill" that deals AoE damage. Lore behind it may be a concoction created by alchemists using bomb ash, fire pots, bomb arms, and/or potentially explosive materials.

Just throwing it out there while we're on the topic.

Ive also been thinking of something like that. However, if you recall the magitech armors were overpowered, making a lvl 1 character deal dmg equivalent to that of a lvl 30ish character (? havnt played that game in a long time but I know it was overpowered). So I think it should go a little something like this.

If you have an engineer in your party that takes up 1 party slot, if said engineer chooses to bring out his magitech armor thats 2 party slots, now it is balanced and the job makes sense because it deals dmg equivalent to that of say 2 people instead of 1.
