I tired to walk past a dragon thingy out side of Ul'dah at level one......one shot me for 9999 and broke my gear. No way you could walk past them.
On a side note, do things attack you when you are on a Chocobo or is that my timer running out at unfortunate times.
you have to walk on foot, not on choco
if your on choco it doesnt count as walking

I have better luck with drakes by walking almost over their tail.

I completely agree with you! I really like exploring Eorzea, and I had lots of fun with it, mostly thrilling and excitement! I really like La noscea and black shroud, I also went to Galmorre Ruins and took a lots of SSHello, fellow adventurer.
The topic title caught my attention for the word “explore”, being exploration something that not everyone can appreciate.
Before landing in Limsa Lominsa, I had decided that in Eorzea I would have been an Explorer, so I'd like to answer you sincerely....I also remember that sylph temple in Eastern shrouds too
I think that most of the peoples can't realize that there's more to the world of Eorzea than it seemsnice to see you and The stuff you posts are really cool! (exploration, adventure, etc)
P.S
Exploring on Chocobo slows you down actually. (against mobs of much higher level than you) and I agree on Turning Leaf lol, it was the last node I got before 1.20 came (Did it a few hours before it came) it was really difficult to get there. After the patch came in(I was still there) I was surprised that all the guivres, efts, and boars turned into mushroom shriekers lol...

You can walk past every Drake and Salamander in Gridania and Coerthas area, you can walk past any Crab and Salamander in Limsa Lominsa area and the only tough one to get in Thanalan is Dragonhead.
Use Decoy-Sentinel to get past Float Eyes and Bombs ON CHOCO, walk-run behind the Raptors and the only random enemies left that can get in your way are Boars - Hogs and 2 Malboros.
You get past them with patience (wait till they get out of the way).
I got most of my gates in 1.19, its doable solo, nuff said thank you.

Agreed quit yer complaining and learn the game. All gates are easily obtained solo. Especially since the last patch.

Great, I can now avoid aggro towards getting The Isle of Umbra....but how do I actually get that gate? I'm runnin' in circles trying to figure that out![]()

Two updates
1) Walking in water will not aggro the sound mobs. I walked through a goddess girdle while in the water
2) The aggro range of true sound (boars, morbols, etc.) mobs is the same as sound aggro mobs when you run, but the range is reduced when you walk. I walked past a morbol without it aggroing me, but when i started to run away from it, it aggroed me.
