ENGINEER CLASS

so i have an idea for a new class. engineer. as an engineer you would be able to use magitek just like in ffvi. like you could drop a machine into the ground that would shoot stuff at mobs. and u could use magitek "mounts" to dd. or you could use magitek weps like a cannon that shoots out junk. im not sure what it would shoot, but it would shoot out stuff. plz no negative feedback. this post is for positive constructive ideas to help the devs with ideas.

These must be the bullets that shoot out of the engineer guns. Great idea Tango! But automatic fire might be a bit overpowered.

All great ideas start small. I knew an engineer ONCE! (he's name is Cid) If it gathers weight as the ff franchise can contribute, the FFxiv-team should def add that class in the future, along with Mimic(class or job?) ;D

Like the abstract concept of Engineer class (Like Edgar FFVI)

Can't say I'm a fan of your specific ideas though.

I've always thought that magictek mounts would be a zone-specific thing... like we need them to get across the tundra.

Perhaps an Engineer as a job if Musketeer is the class.

Using guns as the primary weapon.

The Tools that Edgar or any given Cid may have used could be incorporated as abilities or weapon skills?

Libra could be an ability that reveals more detailed information about the enemy (HP, MP, TP, elemental/ailment weaknesses and strengths). Else, a debuff that increases effectiveness against the target.

Drill as a melee-based weapon skill (for a ranged-based class) that deals damage, ignores defense, and/or may afflict a defense down/deprotect effect.

Maybe a type of Grenade "weapon skill" that deals AoE damage. Lore behind it may be a concoction created by alchemists using bomb ash, fire pots, bomb arms, and/or potentially explosive materials.

Just throwing it out there while we're on the topic.
