I too like going extreme. Let's just make it 1 button that does everything for you, cuz that's all the game needs, why add needless extras to it?!
She's not wrong though. With all the cards being essentially the same thing, the whole point of having a deck of cards is redundant. Would you play any card game when the entire deck is made of Aces and Jokers?
It's still 6 cards, 3 for melee, 3 for ranged, with 3 seals each. There's still rng, just not in their effects.
It's not, and yes, it sucks, but that's exactly the niche/risk of the job. By 'securing' that the damage buff is always up, it defeats the purpose.
The purpose of what, being a buffing job? Risk vs reward isn't there. You aren't taking any risks when you pull a card, you are just praying to rngesus, just like atmas, which everyone hated.
It's the unpredictability what made AST....AST, so yeah, being a versatile buffing job. Balance was always superior to the other cards, or at least the most desired, no one is arguing that - but the one that says that Bole, Arrow, Spear and even Ewer or Spire didn't have its uses is flat out lying.
(Also sorry for the back and forth quoting spam)
I don't know if Change.org does much (and I don't really think that ShB's Astrologian is going to be reverted at this point, either way), but a friend has started a petition about the matter and would like people to take a look

There's also this thread, which hopefully will be read. Maybe not anytime soon, but things might improve in the future? It could also happen that we even warm up to the changes once we experiment with them in a month...
