Didn't work for me either. If you look under my "history" lodestone page the easiest spot that I've snuck around was broken water walking East path only throwing stun rocks (the gathering class ability). It's really easy but also very hard depending on the row of mobs turning around and especially the ones that are sound/sight aggressive.
It doesn't make much sense as to why they would put an achievement that would require large scale of people to throw bodies just to collect port locations for a title. I like challenges and for a challenge wouldn't make much sense to put monsters where (quite possibly) we wont see level cap rise of our own one or two years later.

Like XI I love how we get comments from a small minority that explains something was so easy done by very few people versus a large number of players who didn't (I.e. "it's easy I did it", stop QQ'ing" etc). This is where SE will turn a blind eye until they decide to finally step in to adjust it due to likes or the number of replies. Seriously, where am I going to find people to throw their selves just so a person can get by to get a port location? It doesn't work, which evidently is not a logical achievement. It would make more sense if there were potions available to make traveling convenient if those high level monsters were to remain. I can't picture myself getting past those not even anyone with the sane mind willing to go suicidal to help one person at a time for one location at a time.
