I guess because ffxiv is going the same downhill path like blizzard did with wow.
I absolutely hate healers change, it will make rhem super terrible to play outside dungeons. This alone could hurt the game really hard in the balls, there will be no healers to play with at this rate if se made them boring.
If there will be a decrease of players choosing healers they will change again to balance the jobs they usually do.I guess because ffxiv is going the same downhill path like blizzard did with wow.

Just don't understand the mass hysteria going on as if the team never fixed something before.

Nearly everyone's expectations were a new tank and healer for this expansion. A new healer was not given solely due to the reason that they wanted to focus on balancing. Instead we got given extremely homogenized and blander versions of what was already there. So like "no new healer, but take even more boring versions of what you had before". So you should probably be able to understand why "just fix them in a later update" seems a little irritating.
Yeah, we need to try the jobs first, however it dosn't take a genius to figure out one dot and one nuke on SCH is going to pale in comprison to 4.x SCH, which paled in comparison to 3.x.
And now Inceptioned Complaining about the complaints about the complainers. Honestly though things change and then they change again anyone whos ever played an mmo should know this but theres still that small amount that dig thier heels in and go I'm not riding this train I want to stay back here where I was awesome.
"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."
I've actually stopped visting reddit for now and unsubscribed from the FFXIV sub-reddit, simply because the reddit is being flooded with whine posts, over analysis and people just bashing on anything that doesn't align with their view.
I'm simply going to follow what most Japanese people are doing : adapt and enjoy the game.![]()
Ok but their goal was to homogenize the healers to break with healer META if they did it wrong right now not sure if it is too late to go back.Nearly everyone's expectations were a new tank and healer for this expansion. But yes those who main healer job feedback is important even if negative just need to be done constructively.
You've kind of hit the nail on the head there. This is exactly what healers did not want, and when they choose to balance rather than creating a new healer, you'd expect a lot of resources and time going into the balancing part. They could have kept healer identities in tact and still made more effort to balance them. All they really needed to do was give WHM some form of raid utility to bring it in line with the others.
I guess the bottom line is that if they were going to forgo creating a new healer, those same resources should have gone into making the role feel good for at least another 2 years. Gutting and making healers identical is not anyone's idea of fun, nor is it creative in any sense.
See, that's the problem. A lot of people aren't happy, so they are showing their displeasure.
As an AST main, I don't like seeing my cards going from having a multitude of effects to being 1 effect.
As an AST main, I don't like seeing my duration extending effects get removed, or changed to subpar healing with a potency of 100 on a 120 second cooldown.
As an AST main, I don't like seeing that my level 72 trait, is to turn Combust II into Combust III, which only reduces the MP cost from 500, to 400, and NOTHING ELSE.
The game is fun, yes, but they really need to figure out what they are doing with healing. I mained/used all 3 healers, and now I'm considering moving to tank after seeing the awesome WAR buffs, and the subpar healer changes.
