everywhere i went (this forum, reddit, youtube comment, gaming forum) all i see now is just complain about every class, change, new future, everything.

the negativity is just overwhelming at this point, and we are not even touching the game yet.

i can understand with the genuine complain on certain class makeover (*cough* AST cards *cough*) but the others?

It is always the same it's almost as if is a cyclic behavior it happened before and it will continue happening in every expansion for the sake of complaining about something.

No one tried the changes so far apart of the streamers and media but the majority are already complaining.

if you check the jp forum, i like how everything over there is like night and morning difference, everyone there is just chill, intead of throwing tantrum and being angry with this change.

the healer forum, they all busy with how to adapt with his new makeover skill, busy discussing the best way to utilize these new change.
one thread on general section is about "giving thanks to yoshi and management" for delivering a great change for the game
tank section is chill
dps section went crazy with mch change and the dancer is already getting "sexy fanart" treatment lol

the only complain i see is everyone want more hairstyle for viera and hrothgar, either these people is really chill or they are complaining but in a very polite way.

Pretty much this. Healers are understandably confused and upset while tanks and DPS are generally fine with it all.

(Seriously though, WTF were they thinking when "fixing" the healers?)

It always happen. It happened at Heavensward, it happened at Stormblood, it even happened in A Realm Reborn. So I wouldn't imagine Shadowbringers being any different.

People complain before trying, playing or even seeing how the content is tuned. If anything is objectively not working, they will fix it in a hotfix or content patch but in the end it is impossible to please all of the many thousands of players that play this game or any other game.

Some might leave because of the changes, some might join because of the changes. Such is the life of an MMO.

Yep they usually fix the bad decisions perhaps a new healer job is to come and they need to test the community feedback with this changes.

Not really sure about why the changes mass hysteria going on since I might try for the 1st time main one healer job like WHM, all in all I am happy because wouldn't have the skill to develop something like this.

People hate changes in general so when so many things change at once... yet some complains are valid. Also, you don't always need to try something to know is not going to work.

Some people are afraid of change.

Sometimes it's because it means having to relearn something, sometimes it's because losing an OP position makes them nervous and sometimes it's just a bandwagon. Of course sometimes the change is actually bad, but I'm sure many in this thread have seen a lot complaints belonging to the former.

I really have to wonder about some of the healers who are complaining about the dps spells pruning. I have seen comments saying things like "I hate this change because I love to dps and hate healing". I'm sorry but why are you maining a healer if you hate healing?

I'm not happy about the dps situation for sch either. I already find it boring to dps, and it's going to be even more boring in ShB. But dpsing isn't what drew me to main a healer. As far as healing and support mechanics go I am so far happy with what I have seen. I'm reserving my final opinion for when I actually get to play in ShB.

That being said, I can understand the confused healer noises looking at the changes. Not saying they are right (or wrong), but some of the changes do seem questionable in the current metagame.

Most tanks and dps are busy dealing with their raging hype boners however, so I guess in the end it all Balances out.

I've actually stopped visting reddit for now and unsubscribed from the FFXIV sub-reddit, simply because the reddit is being flooded with whine posts, over analysis and people just bashing on anything that doesn't align with their view.
I'm simply going to follow what most Japanese people are doing : adapt and enjoy the game.
