Pretty much nailed it. All though I don't think Anatman can actually be used to gain stacks if you have 0 stacks if that's what you were thinking for pre pull.Shadowbringers' Monk has me fraught with worry, especially after seeing how it plays in the Media Tour. I can't stand the gauge mechanic being tied to RNG; it didn't work with 3.0 MCH, it barely worked with 4.0 Monk and it shouldn't have been a trend to continue into 5.0. The true AoE rotation is great, but that's about all I have to say about it.
Anatman looks like a gamechanger for opener and is a good Meditation equivalent, but no matter how much I try and find positives, I just see more and more negatives that have carried over from 4.0.
The devs said they listened to the players, but I wholeheartedly think they haven't. Riddle of Earth still only procs on damage, Riddle of Fire still slows us down, Brotherhood still only affects Phys DPS, Tornado Kick still costs stacks and will eat GL4 completely just as it would GL3. Six-Sided Star looks okay for when the boss moves just out of range for a moment, but even with that, it seems GL management itself is becoming excessive. The Fist stances are outdated and should've gone to the scrap heap with all the other stances. The rotation utilizing RoW and Tornado Kick, from what it seems, are essentially defunct.
Do the Devs actually have a vision for Monk since Samurai took its spot? Why does it feel like this class hasn't progressed nowhere since 3.0?
