    I mean, I think it's more reasonable to ask for a stack of it than it would be to say it should be 25 seconds. That way you could also better plan it out with Fire I in fight-specific moments, which I think would add some more depth to the kit as well. This would also mean (if my feelycraft is correct) that it would be up for every 3 out of 4 times that you "need" it rather than 2 out of 3, letting you save that extra use or not save the extra use accordingly.

    I feel like there is value here.

    So, perhaps a controversial opinion, but... I hope Drain gets moved to the THM kit. In a buffed state, of course.

    With Drain being removed from caster role actions, if the rumors about other self-healing role actions remaining are true, then between Physick/Energy Drain and Vercure, BLM will otherwise be the only job without a self-sustain skill for solo content.

    Based on Yoshi P's HUD it looks like the four cross role skills for caster are swiftcast lucid surecast and addle.

    Personally, I enjoyed the role pool skills as they were in Stormblood. I know that lots of people complain about button bloat but BLM is one of the jobs that has the least buttons already, and in my opinion it's always better to have access to something that you rarely use than to not have it and really need it. This is particularly true since during the live letter they alluded to the return of CC being needed/useful for raids, but I suppose it is what it is.

    I'm particularly worried about the lack of Diversion, to be honest. Depending on just how much enmity the tank stances are able to generate, not having Diversion on BLM with its massive bursts especially in dungeons sounds like a pretty big mistake to me, although they did see fit to reduce the recast of Lucid to 60 seconds it would appear. As far as Drain is concerned, while it would be nice to continue to have for when you really need it, any open world content can be soloed with your healer chocobo at this point, it would really only be useful for solo instances unsync.

    Yet we all lost Break, RDM lost Tether, WHM may have lost Fluid Aura, and AST/SCH had no CC to start with.

    I'm not upset to see mana shift go in the least, to be honest. It was a hassle to clip your casts and only use during ice otherwise major loss, so good riddance, although that goes against what I was JUST saying about better to have tools and not need them than need them and not have them

    The way I see it, if we were only using Mana Shift to help healers (and the rare RDM popping Verraises) anyway, then there's an issue with healer MP that Mana Shift was just acting as an external band-aid upon -- one which if balanced around, would have made healers overreliant upon ranged DPS, and already put casters at a disproportionate disadvantage behind Refresh.

    Reducing the CD of Lucid Dreaming should make Mana Shift unnecessary... even if it does remove a utility tool from our kit, albeit one we used begrudgingly.

    Looking through it... I had to go pull out my magnifying glass to see what actually changed.

    Despair is a new ST finisher for AF phase costing all your MP and dealing 380 potency Fire damage (Also grants AF3)
    Opposite Element spells are free while at 3 stacks of AF/UI.
    Enochian buffed to 15% damage increase.
    Freeze now generates an Umbral Heart.
    Xenoglossy new Polyglot spender that deals 750 potency unaspected damage to a single target and is instant cast (Meaning Foul is only for AoE now)
    Umbral Soul new spell for an instant cast GCD that generates an Umbral Ice stack and Umbral Heart (Basically... Filler for during downtime/movement... ONLY IN UI)
    Convert becoming Manafont with just the HP cost removed.

    Basically... Nothing changes.

    ST Rotation is:

    Fire IV > Fire IV > Fire IV (> Swiftcast > Fire IV > Manafont) > Fire I > Fire IV > Fire IV > Fire IV > Despair > Blizzard III > Blizzard IV > Thunder III (> Xenoglossy) > Fire III

    AoE Rotation is:

    Flare > Flare (> Manafont > Flare) > Blizzard III (> Foul) > Thunder IV > Freeze > Fire III

    Basically... Add a Despair to the end of AF phase. Replace Foul with Xenoglossy in the ST rotation. Replace Blizzard IV with Freeze in AoE rotation.
