Might want to change that last line so you don't get suspended / banned friend.SCH really has had it worst. We need to weave our fairy skills, can't shield the fairy for deploy anymore, no fey covenant we need to use up a fairy heal along side it. Can't crit adlo and deploy anymore. Get the ability for a stronger indom etc.. we really didn't need that. DPS is heavily nerfed (sch will easily be lowest personal dps now). No eatherflow stack dump anymore since ED is gone. Made a cool change to dissipation but it's pointless now with the other changes.
Wow, like I don't understand how you can f*ck a class up THAT bad. Honestly you don't even need to play sch to see it. wtf.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
R.I.P gameplay and congratulations to all the whinners on balancing healer, wo got this because of you, be proud of that![]()
This MMO just became the most unfriendly to healers. AST and SCH got gutted.
Exactly, my discord channels were filled with people in disbelief about how any developer could have the courage to roll out these changes and say they're good with a straight face. They're an absolutely attempt to turn what are currently different and interesting classes to virtual clones of each other. That's not balance though SE, it's homogenization. And quite frankly, it's boring.
This is far and beyond the worst state healers have been in since the launch of the game. Even healing as a cnj/thm in 1.0 was more enjoyable than it is now. They managed to go from being the mmo where healing was far more fun and complex than pretty much any other mmo out there, an mmo where healers were actually not in that short of supply because of how fun and engaging they were, to now having the most boring and simplified design that I've seen in years.
I'm glad that I leveled everything to 70 in Stormblood, because I won't be playing as a healer anymore. Those days are dead and gone.
This expansion has been amazing in term of story, but as a healer, it's felt like a slap in the face.
My main issues with SCH:
1. The fairy is sooo buggy. She sometimes despawns when changing locations and also puts skills on CD without actually casting them. I've experienced both of these bugs several times, and it's incredibly aggravating.
2. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us energy drain back. Aetherflow design feels terrible. It's so clunky now. We need a way to spend it that ISN'T overhealing for easy content. Also having to be in combat to use is frustrating. It feels awful in dungeons when it comes off CD a second after the last mob dies, and you can't pop it.
3. Art of war costs too much mana. Even with piety melds and being overleveled, I still find myself out of mana on back to back trash pulls, and then I just stand there feeling useless....
None of this is anything that hasn't already been stated dozens of times, but I just wanted to add my own voice in the hopes that Square Enix addresses some of our concerns quickly.
Are you needing to use Aetherflow everytime it comes off cd in order not to run out of MP?
That's always been the case for spamming an aoe spell on healers, whether it's Gravity, Holy, or even Miasma II back in SB. It's supposed to be the trade off for doing so much damage by hitting everything around you.3. Art of war costs too much mana. At least on white mage you can spam holy without any care for mana.
