It’s Official!! The Sch class is dead...
I did 50/60/70 roulette with a level 70 dungeoun, levelling with the lv 61, I did Raids for exp and now I am officially depressed
Now let’s state a few points:
1) Bane was amazing for dungeouns and mobs in general (trials adds as examples)
2) Art of war is just silly: the animation doesn’t make sense for a healer and it annoys me that cost more than Holy
3) It’s horrendous not having a dmg aetherflow skill because it’s silly to have to waste a lustrate just to finish your aether rail
4) ED was essential not for dmg but for mp management.
5) Pet action are not more Pet actions but now ogcds.
6) The people playing Sch can cheer for the lost of our identity and dps rotation only because the class was too complicated to optimise for them. Ast could out-dps the Sch only because as Ast you literally can always cast.
7) Clip your broil is always better than R2 if you need to single weave.

Btw just saying, the fact that piety will be relevant it’s a lie. You gain 3 more mp each tick every 40 piety in your gear, try to believe!
854 piety = 238 mp for tick
974 piety = 247 mp for tick
1054 piety = 253 mp for tick

Part of me is clinging onto hope that they'll rework Scholar and it'll be somewhat fun to play again. But seeing the dev's stance on healers and how they really just gutted Scholar this time around, it doesn't look very good.

Same i have done few dungeons and it's just borring and not fun to play sch anymore!

DPS and Tank were happy, i just wanted to log out.

And why aetherflow can be used ONLY during a fight seriously?

Everything in the job changes are made for not having fun SE?????

Seriously though I don't understand what Square fails to get about what made scholar fun? Nobody likes having a one button rotation for whenever there is downtime in the healing department. Part of being a good scholar was to be able to bust out your DPS rotation because you were doing a good job at mitigating damage from your party. And all we get from Square after they remove all of our rotation is a god awful AOE that might do more damage but is quite literally the most boring move I have seen throughout the entire game.

At least dancer is fun. And hey, to all the people that were saying "Wait until ShB comes out before passing judgement, guess what! Shadowbringers is out and our thoughts about the changes were entirely right!

Almost burst out in tears when I 'played' with my SCH and AST.... not much to add to the discussion, last 10 posts mentioned all the breaking points

I just keep feeling like I'm walking on phantom stairs, putting a foot out for the next step and nothing's there. This isn't just in muscle memory, but the whole gameplay for scholar now feels off and lacking. Even the animations (yes, I'm looking at you, Art of War) feel underwhelming or inappropriate. It irks me so much that I, a scholar of all jobs, can't be prepared at all times with loaded aetherflow, that I have to wait for battle, especially since now they are only linked to heals. Sorry person outside my party who I just helped raise, I can't give you a quick top off lustrate since there's no fight going on.

Oh dear. It looks like I have something to look forward to today...
