Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

So the artist that Matsuno asked to draw male Viera finished drawing. While Matsuno didn't specify any height range I'd say it's pretty close. The feedback was also just "GJ" so there's no telling if it's exactly what he wanted.
It's around midlander height with elezen physique.

I forgot to mention Matsuno also mentioned a disclaimer a while back, that it's just his design and not the official one, so there might be slight changes in the event of official release.

The drawing straight up looks like it has omega m's physique which is exactly what I would want. I think Matsuno's comment "GJ" means good job. I do think the ffxiv version of male viera might be a little different. The ffxiv male viera will probably have a patch of hair on their chest, but I really hope this is optional because I don't want a patch of hair on my character's chest.

Hopefully there would be a muscle slider to allow for a little more bulk, particularly in regards to the limbs. Even if not, it's still a nice level of muscle definition. I'm not a fan of the outfit, though hopefully the FFXIV version would be some sort of loincloth instead. Though it seems as if that may have been something the artist put in of their own accord.

A muscle slider would not change the shape of the model really. Just like our current muscle sliders, it'll most likely just show the character being toned or not. No actual increase of bulk to the model.

Personally, I have no preference for the racial gear as I'll probably glamour into something else anyway.
Seeing the tweet Mugear posted seriously made my day. I hope if we ever get male viera, it looks just like that. Slim, handsome, and elegant.

I meant it more so in the way that it was just twitter ramblings(not in an offensive way) and not like something he gussied up to look fancy or anything. Not as a way to invalidate the posts just interesting that he posted his musings in such a way.

Edit: For instance it'd be like Yoko taro posting something like "2B actually takes very good care of her weapons and sings them lullabys" or something like that, though knowing him it's quite possibly something he'd do. I just assumed Masuno was more reserved.

I think there's an odd definition of 'slim' within this thread at times! I don't consider a guy with a large amount of muscle definition to be as such. The boxer's muscular physique is wonderful and I hope that the FFXIV team go with it.

We also know that Viera men will not be added anytime soon, so perhaps they will arrive during or after the much needed expansion of the character creation system that will allow for a broader level of customisation in general.
