It's not odd. They're not connected, it's just two features on one face.

He has a new hairstyle that wasn't previously available, but they regularly add extra hairstyles to the character creator, so it's been added and it's nothing remarkable. (Just like the two styles from the Stormblood trailer were added.)

And there's stubble which hasn't been seen before - but the existing varieties are added through a menu unrelated to hairstyles that has never been updated. There is no precedent for getting new things added, no matter how often they've been asked for.

It could still happen, but there is no reason to be certain that it will happen, if you're setting yourself (or others) up for disappointment if-and-when it becomes clear that it isn't happening.

Really wish all the facial hair options were available on all the faces, including this one of course.

It's also pretty dumb that you have to buy a Fantasia to even change the face style/ or even a simple thing like eye color on your character. But yes that beard looks so much better then the current Hyur beard wich looks super ugly imo.

Ummm.... you don't. You just have to visit Jandeline to change your hair, facial features, and even eye color can be changed there.

Pretty sure you can't change eye colour, only the 'rim' around the eye for Au'ra. For actual face shape, which is what the 'facial hair' is tied into - you have to fantasia if you want specific facial hair. Not all faces have the same facial hair.

I hate how beards, scars and other facial options are handled in this game, hey, lets make facial hair tied to specific faces and give only 2 kinds of beard to each one, specific beards are also tied to race, so do enjoy this oddly specific and particularly egregious restriction.

I would love for them to take the time to fix up the current problems with the character creator before adding more, I myself would love stubble for my elf, I like the beard I have now, but I would love for something lighter without being clean shaven.

Same with Beauty mark placement and racial tattoo type are tied to which face you're using.

Tired of using the face paint that doesn't even match hair color unless it's black. Lore explains why they shave them, sure, but doesn't mean they can't grow them, it's just stupid.

Oh well and a second thing but I can live without it: a short hairstyle like the one in Stormblood, but without the stuff on the right side. Just a normal, short hair like that.

More beards in general would be great. I would love an actual full beard for all the races instead of it being linked to face. And of course Highlander eyebrows is a must for the Highlander fans! Sure you can face paint them but actual eyebrows would be better.
