They will probably already never get all head pieces working with viera, so I’m glad the feet are normal. I think it would be worse if viera couldn’t wear head pieces or footgear. Plus I can’t say I really like that look anyway.

About time she cut her toenails.

Even Fran in FFXIV got normal feet. Guess it was too much of a pain to redesign footwear to accommodate.

If they gave either of the new races more bestial feet, then not only would we have limited helmets, but limited or no footwear as well. There'd be more people raging about it and calling the devs lazy.
They're fine as is folks. I swear every time I check the forums there's yet another thread complaining about why the new races aren't this or aren't that. One thread even demanded Viera have tails when they -NEVER- had them in any of their incarnations. Now yeah, there are some valid worries, but holy hell the constant complaining is just...yeurgh. I think it's time to take a break from these forums.
Edit: I'll do you one better. If Viera and Hrothgar were digitigraded, most legwear would be unavailable too - not just footwear.
Those are true digitigraded legs. From the knee up, the majority of leg armor wouldn't work. Viera and Hrothgar would be forced to wear skirts and shorts. Now don't get me wrong - in a perfect world I'd like to see at least Hrothgar with digitigraded legs. But without a lot of time, effort, manpower, and money - that's not going to happen any time soon and I would much rather them put their efforts into making content than appeasing the few of us who would appreciate this addition.

I'm probably the only one with a big boot fetish going on, lol. I love Viera feet, and how BIG THEIR BOOTS ARE to compensate for that weird arch. Viera main from here on out. God, I love me some thick iron-man looking boots. -drools-
(And yes, I do have a glamour plate that uses those big metal boots from The Wall's tanking set).

Pretty good example of this are the Khajiit and Argonian's from Morrowind. They couldn't wear any of the game's boots because of their digitigrade legs and it drove the developer's and many players insane. To the point that in Oblivion and all titles going forward they changed their legs to be more human like. And this was back in 2002. If they couldn't fudge it back then without difficulty I find it hard to believe they could today with our more complex models.

It's already complicated with the headware being unavailable because of the ears and head shape, I really don't care for the feet. As many mentioned, if they were digitigrade, we probably wouldn't have footware, or legware either :c
They should be, but because of armor modeling, they must have decided to just give them plain feet.
