Kinda makes you wonder if they even commended other people at all or accidentally gave it to the wrong healer.
There are a variety responses, in my experience, from no response at all to various exaggerated/sarcastic responses, and reactions in between as well. Apparently, some people even remember me now if they've met me in roulettes more than once. Still, nothing I would say as being outright mean, at least, not to me anyway (maybe behind the scenes, which is fine). Some reactions are even leaning toward being positive, I would say.
My FC leader would even semi-joke that most of my commendations as DPS is strictly due to wearing that set, especially when I was Miqo'te or Au Ra.I cannot verify that, but if any of it is true, I wouldn't complain, though I could also have lost a chance at commendation because of that set, oh well.
When I've healed with my friend, he'll get more comms than me when he's on WHM despite me doing the bulk of the healing on AST. I think some people think WHMs automatically heal more, and I have noticed a trend where I get far more comms on WHM compared to AST or SCH - despite me giving away AOE cards like Oprah lol.
Some people probably just don't care, or they blame their deaths to standing in the bad/not popping a CD/failing a mechanic on the healers for not saving them from a one-shot.I'd commend that. I can't possibly tell you the number of times I've saved a fight, whether that means super clutch healing like Maeka up there, or picking up a boss and tanking it as a dps when our tank flew off a platform... and gotten no commendation for it. DPS especially get no respect even when they do something spectacular. But not commending in this case is criminal.
I like to run normal raid roulette as RDM sometimes for 2nd chance points and sometimes just for fun and the number of parties I've dragged kicking and screaming to clears with raise and manashift without neglecting my damage is pretty high up there. Still, I almost never get more than 2 commends.
I'd do it anyway though even if I never got any because I just find chaotic failing parties the most fun especially knowing I have the tools to help get them through it anyway. I'm gonna miss manashift in shadowbringers.

I was in a situation today where pretty much everyone made mistakes, but one person blamed me for their death.
Ever make a mistake -- and someone else makes a mistake -- and your mistakes combine to create a mess, but the other person does absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing, to help? While you are desperately trying to pull everything back from the brink? And then the person blames you?
Oy vey.
My RDM friend decided to Corps-a-Corps into an AoE, and promptly exploded. That was funny.
That's about the norm. Reminds me of a wreath of snakes farm party I was doing last week, or so. The healers died probably 3-5 times, the DPS was definitely overall low, tanking was all over the place, BUT I died once to a tankbuster or whatever (I was raised immediately, not a lot of downtime) when I went for a positional, and the tank just happened to be standing at the side edge. I was singled out and blamed when we couldn't burn it past enrage, and it was like 8% still. Yeah, I made a mistake, I should have been paying attention, but comon. People will blame everyone but themselves to try to get the pressure off of them, though some people are extremely oblivious. I honestly think some people don't even realize they contributed to a failure, at all.I was in a situation today where pretty much everyone made mistakes, but one person blamed me for their death.

Yeah, playing with ego at the fore rather than fun. That's about the norm. Reminds me of a wreath of snakes farm party I was doing last week, or so. I mean, it's a game largely played with random strangers. $#^% happens.
If ones performance anxiety or self-centeredness is that high, maybe MMORPGs are the wrong genre...
Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.
If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your nextexciting adventurehealer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.
I got Sigmascape V2 through roulette as a Samurai.
There are two new players, one is a DPS which I forgot and probably Ninja and the other one in White Mage.
The first few seconds run smoothly until the WHM ran above the Typhon painting and turned to Typhon. Instead of healing and doing damages, she just moved around like playing on a theme park riding Typhon until she's killed with a large attack where you have to hind behind a boulder. Reminder that I use /beckon to her when we have to hide. When she's revived she walked above the airplane painting and ride the mount and maybe she can't dismount.
