The ff14 model is for the LEFT hand, due to the thumbstick being on the right. It is for the left hand. Left hand people use left hand on the mouse. Can't make it clearer for you people.
Yes it's made for the left hand, which is what makes it for right-handed people, since it's used with a mouse on the right. Your logic is kind of like saying in baseball if you're right-handed, you should get a right-handed glove, and left, then left. But people in baseball wear the glove on the non-dominant hand because you need to be able to throw with your dominant hand.

The label "Left-handed" is entirely correct yes, but I'm clarifying this is actually targeting right-handed computer users.

If you're left-handed most folks tend to be used a normal mouse due to how little left-handed folk are catered for. This means that when they use the keyboard for WASD it can be a bit tricky due to placement. The analogue stick is used in place of WASD and the multiple buttons for keybinding - while the right hand, aka the off hand, is used to simply turn the camera and click - thy the mouse. Just because their left-hand dominant doesn't mean they suddenly lose the ability to use the right e_o

The Thumbstick is for replacing WASD for movement.

The rest of the buttons are for replacing keyboard keys.

If the pad is used in the left hand, it is replacing a keyboard used with the left hand. Thus, designed for right handed people.

Since, you will still need a mouse to use alongside the gamepad. To which, left handed people will use with their left hand.

As you've noted, the thumbstick is on the right, meaning it can only be used in the left hand, the one that left handed people are using the mouse with.

If the gamepad is designed for left handed people, it would be designed to be used in the right hand. Allowing them to use their mouse with their left hand.

This is because a gamepad is literally designed to be a replacement for a KEYBOARD. Thus, used alongside a mouse.

Of course. As you said the purpose of the gamepad is to make WASD movement and keybinds easier. That's why I wanted to make it clear that this isn't only targeting lefty people, it's just made for the left hand to make movement and key access easier.

I can just play right-handed like most folks, it's not like righty can't play lefty either if that was an option, it just takes adapting. My own salt was just a personal rant and my own fault for being stubborn by not conforming lol, but the main point is that this isn't targeting lefties just because it said "left-handed".

I don’t get it at all. (not the lefty-righty thing, just the purpose of it in general)
If you’re using this gamepad, you’d still need to use a normal keyboard anyway, at least for chat.
At that point, isn’t it just easier to use a controller?

Some people struggle with WASD. I'm one of them. I use a 12 button sided mouse and have reprogrammed an Xbox controller so that the analogue stick is WASD and LB and LT are alt and shift. This gives me maximum movement and access to 48 keybinds. If I want to type I just move my hand away from the controller and quickly type.

I personally have been looking for one because when traveling, I don't want to have to bring an entire keyboard with me, and a thumbstick feels more natural for movement anyway. I play on a laptop and use a numpad for movement, but laptop has no numpad so my situation is a bit more unique. Everyone has their own preferences, but I think most people just like how it feels and how it has more buttons than a controller.

I was semi-afk during that part of the stream, didn't they make it out like no one makes stuff like this so here you go this is special? That is my vague semi-afk memory of it.

The whole devices made for people who are left-handed is the chicken and egg problem inception. Manufacturers don't make them because no one buys them, no one buys them because no one makes them, no one asks after them in stores because they don't even know they are a thing, so retailers aren't asking manufacturers if they make them, and manufacturers then say well even though we don't make it, and no one knows about it, no one wants it anyway.

Frankly I think the mouse is always in the right hand is a bit of a joke. If right handers used it in their left, their right hand would be free for writing notes or using the number pad.

In the stream it's made for right-handed people, and plenty of gamepads exist for the left hand (right-handed users), but not the right hand (left-handed users) because like you said, not enough people would buy for the right hand.

And I totally understand what you're saying about why is it even on the right, but I think people just like the precision of mouse movement being in the dominant hand due to having to aim a cursor, and how that accuracy would decrease with the non-dominant hand. But another weird lefty/righty thing is kind of like playing guitar. Why do you use the dominant hand to strum when changing the notes is harder on the other hand? People just don't want to readjust I guess, similar to how we're stuck with QWERTY keyboards now even though Dvorak was better.

For precision gaming sure, but I'm talking about when the mouse was first introduced and the jobs which used it, it would have made more sense for the mouse to be in the left hand given the number pad is on the right side of the keyboard and most people write with their right hand. Accuracy for the mouse wasn't important, people would have had enough fine motor control in their left hand for the basics of mouse movement back then.
