I'm just hoping for the culling of tank stances and role skills to be true.

Tank stances are obsolete with the current dps meta; and I'm completely fine with increasing the skill ceiling of tanks by giving them more impact dps wise. Doing damage is fun, and tanks will still feel like tanks because boss positioning, mitigation, and enmity management are pretty unique to the role. I'd like to see Enmity generation to be a tad bit more active: have the tank dip into the enmity combo and balance damage with enmity generation or perhaps mitigation.

Role skills are also obsolete as a concept; much rather see those skills rolling into the jobs proper. I'd like to see different versions of the same skills to give a bit more flavor to the jobs. Esuna v. Leeches comes to mind.
