We have Bust sliders, but no Butt sliders? What’s the difference?

I honestly would just like my original butt back. I have gear that flares out to accommodate it but no butt to fill that void.

I really would have liked some curve to be left alone. As it is now my back just kinda turns into legs.

It barely changed anything. I still have the 1.0 benchmark, and the butts are still flat there too. That screenshot people have been using is a huge case of bias.

I honestly remember filling out the gap between my gear much better than I currently do and I was jarred the first day I logged back into ARR when it released. There was a change, perhaps not as severe as some would have you think, but it was noticeable.

It's kind of weird because I thought they reused the same character models from 1.0 version for ARR. So why the butt size got reduce, we will never know.

I don't think those two images are perfectly at the same angle.

The point where the tail visually connects to the body, marked with a white circle on the left image, is higher on the right. That suggests a perspective error to me.

Also, they are not in the same pose. Look at the angle of the legs relative to the body. 1.0 girl is leaning forward or in a slight crouch. 2.0 is standing straight. So that is going to affect how much it sticks out, even on the exact same character design.


Has anyone actually tried to replicate the pose in that picture to see if they can get it any closer? Or does everyone trust that this one screenshot is correct, and not possibly mistaken?

Valkyrie is correct, those two comparisons are not accurate at all. The different posing just makes her, stick out her butt more, that’s really it.

No way, that sounds way too good to be true. You sure you didn’t misinterpret anything of what they said during the live letter? Do you have a link?

I feel the Aura I have now seems to have a better bottom than the Miqo'te, my version 1 character did have a slightly better bottom and I feel the Aura have my version one bum. I also do not play Miqo'te now because of how scrawny they look at the bottom.

AuRa females do seem to have larger butts, as I had one of my alts as one. Also by the way, after looking online, apparently a Butt slider is technically possible, but it would stretch out armor textures around the posterior region. Video is here: https://youtu.be/FUVJ_851QG8

The NA/Western fans seem to really want a butt slider, so he apparently said that he will talk to the graphics team about adding it in the game. Realistically speaking, it’ll either be added during 5.0 (we don’t know much about it yet) or 6.0. Well, that’s good news, I guess. So I guess butt sliders are...sort of confirmed?

the fact that the hands are missing from the first image makes me thing that 1.0 miqo is using the /stretch emote. you know, the one that sticks your ass out.
