i am petty and complaining about people asking for help while not watching a guide for non savage content, because thats what i did until the very end of heavensward and expect nothing less from others

Well...for non savage or non Extreme content watching a guide isn't needed. At all. If it's hard to type out a sentence or 2 describing some minor mechanics then I don't even know what to tell you. If it's Extreme trials, Savage raids or Ultimate then yeah, you have a point. People should come prepared for those.

then they shouldnt ask for help in a 4 man dungeon, cus we all know we can survive ignoring mechanics, my point in making this threat was to point out that people act like im the most rude person from saying "watch a guide" no actual rude words said, i would know if i said anything that was disrespectful, but when i say "watch a guide" people act like its the most insulting thing ever, it shouldnt be, it is direspectful to someone to come to a dungeon without knowing anything and ask a non mentor person to explain them the mechanics, i would be fine if they didnt say anything at all or ask for help and not care about me saying watch a guide, my problem is the mentality that someone saying watch a guide is disrespectful. because i dont understand why that would be

I would say only saying "Watch a guide" is quite rude. You are are announcing to the group that you are unwilling to help players new to the content. You also seem quite hung up about mentors. They are not the only person who can offer advice. I never wear the crown, and yet I am more than happy to give tips if I can and just try to make things easier for the group.
