No. /thread
Having been omni 70 a long time, I dont see why not. Not only does gearing also require a significant time or money investment after leveling, most of the end crafts also require a significant time / money sink to turn profit
Wont hurt my ability to make gil via crafting, means a more active market actually
I doubt the botters would do this option at all since they can just bot the levels and save money
SE gets to make money, because people arent going to buy one lvl 50 skip, they will buy 8
The only reason I'd REALLY be against this is that many people would lets say.... boost WVR. (a solid Gil maker) Then said player looks into what they need to do; only to learn they need to purchase a boost for every other DoH to be able to get the full value out of it. (between melding and cross class skills)
"Pay2Win Mode When ?"
Or am I reading too much between the lines of the title ?
As omni crafter goes without saying there is stuff that will be very hard to craft if not impossible without cross classes skills. The Fying chair that weavers can make is one that comes to mind has its Difficulty is 6k+ crafting that without cross class abilities, means you would need higher stats and gear then a Omni to successfully craft it.The only reason I'd REALLY be against this is that many people would lets say.... boost WVR. Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
This may not be the best example - since you don't need to HQ for mounts, you could just go Manipulation II -> Observe + Focused Synthesis until the end, which is available to all crafters. Buy gear so you have stats, slot some materia if you absolutely need it, and you could make it with a single crafter leveled. As omni crafter goes without saying there is stuff that will be very hard to craft if not impossible without cross classes skills. That being said, definitely no to a jump potion for crafters; don't devalue the time, money, and work put into being able to make the end-game stuff. It may not be "hard" to craft endgame (see: lacking RNG, which has nothing to do with skill), but it's still quite the investment to get to that point. Levequests are plenty fast on their own.
To the people saying this would break the economy, what basis do you have for this assumption? How would more crafter = more competition be bad for the economy? Maybe someone only gets to play an hour or two a day or every couple days but they have disposable income. Why should they be drowned in endless hours of work (over exaggerating just to prove a point) and kept from doing something that would overall benefit the community. And who are you to say they shouldn't just because you have all the time in the world?
Yes I'm an omni crafter, and yes I support skip potions for DoL/DoH. And if SE sees enough demand and want that extra bread they'll do it regardless. More crafters is never a bad thing. I think people just get butthurt at the thought of someone skipping to a point of relevance whereas they put in tons of hours of work.
The amount of lazy people who want DoH/DoL jobs to be basically “paid off” without putting in any effort is astounding. Really doubt SE will put this in the game.
More people crafting would overwhelm the crafting and MB botters flooding the market so go for it. Probably would change very little in the current economy really. Can't get much worse than it is right now anyways.
