I didnt play back then in 1.0 but i really hope the tattoo given to players that played in 1.0 does NOT come to the mogstation or be made available to rest at all.
Afaik its a thank you for being loyal to the game? Correct me if i am wrong please.

Hehe... yet another cloud mount thread. I got it back in 2017 due to a dr. pepper promotion in germany. And i really hope it'll be added soon to the mogstation as they said it would.
My #1 mount by far.

some of the past promotion items that did make it into the mog shop are different then the one ones in the promotion. For example the maid/butler outfit in the mog shop is dyeable and has bonuses. I'm against the legacy mark being on anything other than characters imported from version 1.0 and the same goes for the legacy chocobo. the legacy items are meant to be a thank you to the people who played and supported 1.0, ever watch the credits all the way through end of 2.0? the special thanks portion are to 1.0 players. They were given the option of having their name or whatever in the credits. I haven't looked to see whether the FFX inspired items on the mog shop have bonuses but they are dyeable which the original isn't. I think the fat chocobo is available in game from the story teller in Gridania.

I completely agree with this about the legacy mark and Chocobo. I feel they should not have added the ravens even though I was around then I could not get a group to complete it...I missed them I would not expect to get them either, they where for those that did the fight. They added the Moonlet and that irked me a bit as it was part of leading into the Dalamud story, I felt they should not have added it. In FFXI there where lots of great items I would have loved but I was not there to get them so I missed out but I admired them for having the items and would never ask for them.

The tattoo is exactly like any mount or glamour, it's pure vanity and doesn't affect how the game is played at all. So yes it is the same thing considering the only requirement was to have made a character during the 1.x time window

And resubscribe using the same account when the game re-released. Effectively making it a 70-120 dollar cosmetic also requiring the same character be used and not propagating to new characters made even if the same account is used.


Comparing this to something that required a 20 dollar purchase (it was basically free, it just required buying SOMETHING in the time period) off amazon is a bit of a stretch eh?

I get you understand how valuable the 1.0 tattoo is, why can't you see it's a huge disparity to compare promotional "plz buy stuff" exclusives?

They will probably do another Amazon promotion for those things again. As those partner ships give SE discounted or free advertisement on Amazon's site.

why not just ask for a new tattoo for something special like the next ultimate. seems an easier compromise than taking it from legacy players.

I don't think they're actually asking for the Tattoo, just trying to compare it to more recent exclusives as a reason to keep things exclusive. Like a "where do we draw the line" kind of deal.

I DO think it would be kinda neat to have a mark or item for being ingame from 2.0 though. ... I may be biased a little.
