All it adds is confusion, in every other RPG I can think of these main stats would do something, might not be optimal but it wouldn't be a completely pointless waste of time like it is here.
Doesn't help that half the descriptions are wrong too.

I'd expect Protect being removed from healer's actions because it became a must-have-always-on buff. As it happened to Stoneskin in the past.

They actually did want to prune Protect, but it's considered Iconic.

I hope they keep it, it can always be changed up in exact function.
What is it at the moment? 12% damage reduction?
That could be an interesting effect to be able to throw up party wide, if it didn't last 30 minutes.
Make it White Mage only, 10s duration. Something like that anyway. I'd like them to come with a way to keep it, it is quite iconic after all![]()
Everyone is going on the belief that the actual battle system is staying the same.. I forsee that changing massively since we're not getting a new healer. Like what if they completely change the way combos work? We are already losing TP, lets think more outside the box. They can literally change ANYTHING :O

I love if they give SCH an ability to exchange their fairy gauce to mp

Maybe insanely buff the protection % and make it one-hit-duration, single-target spell can work too. Sorta sheltron.

Yoshida already clarified that they're just removing TP in 5.0, not consolidating TP costs into MP, that was a mistranslation or misinterpretation. All weaponskills will probably have no cost to use, since AoEing is the only time you expend large amounts of TP and that's really only useful in dungeons, it shouldn't hurt the gameplay of dungeons to be AoEing all the time. It'll make things go faster, anyways.
