I just read the whole situation about that tank... I don't think any sides is a winner here... Tank, Healer or forum posters...

I've been spamming trials roulette lately. The queue times for DPS are pretty good, and I memorized most of the fights. I don't care if I don't get rewarded extra if I do it more than once a day - it's better than just sitting around doing nothing.
I also keep the party in progress option ticked. 99 times out of 100, the duty passes after I arrive, because the party composition is usually greatly altered at that point (it's rarely JUST a single DPS who leaves).
So at some point, I get Tsukuyomi. As soon as I get in, the tanks both leave. One of the party members jokingly says "let me tank!" The person even admitted it was a joke, but by the time they said that, it was too late. The rest of the party for some reason went along with it, and they attacked the boss.
We wiped during the initial Midnight Haze mechanic. Then they voted to abandon the duty, and it ended.
Oh well. There is an old proverb which states that, if a monkey mashes on a typewriter for long enough, eventually it will recreate the works of Shakespeare, given enough time. I guess in the same way, eventually I was doomed to encounter this by spamming trials roulette due to boredom.
Dear people who use macros for skills to make their character say something cringy and/or edgy when they use it:
Please stop. Its not cool, you look stupid, and its technicly spam.
Sincerely, Normal people.
i forget to look in the chat box in dungeons. so if somebody types something important and i forgot to look, then 20 rows of ascii pics scroll through, I might never see the important thing. So, yeah.
Consider it a compliment. This was just the tank testing the party's capabilities on the first pull...and then deciding to go HAM, meaning that s/he was confident in your ability.

Raise macro with a non-standard message? Fine (although it's good to also keep the normal non-macro version on the hotbar for when you need to raise repeatedly).
Over the top Limit Break macro? Sure, those can be funny on occasion.
A different text blurb on every GCD? Cease.
I'm sure it doesn't apply to the situation you referring to, but I'd like add a note about flash sharing the GCD:
if aggro starts the same time GCD has started, you have to wait quite a bit before being able to use flash, and in the while the mobs may pass thru and you can only farewell emote them.
I expect whoever got aggro to go to me for a flash, BUT the common behavior of healer and dps is running everywhere but the place the tank is. In some cases, I see running as far away as possible from the tank is one of the preferred solutions chosen by them.
This game has the same selfish community as other MMOs. Do you want to go quiet dungeon? The crowd dressed will not let you see the dungeon. I rocked 2 months reading quests epic, consistently killed bosses. And at level 50, the crowd begins to bring the final bosses as matches. Fortunately, I thought of leaving the dungeon. But the gaming experience is spoiled completely. A crowd of players rushing headlong spitting on the plot. Even in W ** I did not observe this. There will have to kill everything, whether you want to or not.
But youtube guys like to say "non-toxic community is all friendly." On my petition to be slower, I'm here for the first time, got ignored. Why make such dungeons where you do not have time to understand anything because of the sweaty guys the question is not closed.
I am a newish player. By that I mean I have stumbled to 55 (But have not finished all the MSQ for 50 yet). I also read the first 40 or so pages of this thread. You folks make me really terrified of dungeons. Up till now I thought if I was doing something wrong in them someone would say something so I could correct my mistakes. So many posters of dungeon horror stories here never mention telling people what they are doing wrong or complain because their level does not match their gear and knowledge(which has been a constant problem for me with the leveling bonuses). Some of us do make it to 50+ without anyone telling us anything; not a mentor(never had one to talk to), not a FC member, and not a dungeon mate. Yet we are expected to perform perfectly. Now I wonder what horror stories people from the dungeons I have done so far are thinking about me. I even saw someone complaining because someone was doing the mechanics as a popular video showed them instead of how they are currently run. I personally would just be thankful the new person took the time to try and learn the fight before going in yet here is someone not correcting the newbie just complaining. I played another MMO before this one for nearly 14 years so I am not completely ignorant on what I need to do. I guess I can only hope it is good enough because many of you are scary.
Almost no one here would expect perfect play from a new player, not even from a more experienced player. Maybe from a veteran hardcore raider, but not even that if it's about normal dungeons and other normal mode or story content.
The posts in this thread are more about a) people that just want to vent about little annoyances (most times these tend to be excessive though - who cares if one DPS didn't use the LB when the OP wanted or things like that), b) people they argued with each other about some minor (or major) inconveniences, or c) about players who don't know what to do at all or deliberately play badly, like a healer just standing there and pressing like 1 button every 20 seconds, or a tank that is lvl 70 but has no clue at all about how to tank, or a dps that just uses 2 of his 30+ buttons the whole instance.
Usually if someone is a new player and just doesn't know some mechanics, makes a mistake or can't do their rotation perfectly no one will say anything.
As for not helping others - a lot of players have given up on it. You often just get something like "shut up" or "you don't play my sub" as an answer, or no answer at all but also no improvement from them. I only help very rarely as well because I can't type very fast and I'm also very, very bad at explaining things. I do try to help when things seriously go wrong, but even then most players ignore whatever advice I have anyway. Or they can't understand me because they speak neither English nor German.
My best advice to anyone would be to read their tooltips, look into all their character and UI settings and try to find some basic guides about their role/class. Dungeon mechanics don't matter at all because most are really easy to understand while doing them. The problem are players that like only cast Ruin as SMN or take a break of like 5 seconds between each cast, or tanks that haven't even read up what their skills do and thus cannot tank AT ALL. And that in 50+ content.
