So I've been lvling mch and I gotta say I really hate this class but its becoming more of a chore bc ever since I 60 and unlocked all hw content my parties have been awful. I've gotten one nidhogg where people did not understand the stack mechanic and everyone died. And two terrible wiping city runs. These ones are the most memorable sadly. My first run was in a party full of redmages, a tank that was the only person with a brain in group, and two worthless healers.
First boss everyone dies cept me and the tank to megadeath. Healers get a rez from other parties and rez each other, not really healing after they get up then try to get a red mage. Before mega death comes out i tell them to stand under green balls. Both die again. At this point I'm dead due to unavoidable damage and I explain once again. The smarter healer got it. And began doing mech. Other healer kept dying and each time they kept trying to get redmages up that don't know mechs and waste mana so they cant heal. I suggest they rez me bc i can give them both mana and redmages dont have the ability to rez yet. Que in multiple redmages saying they can give mana. And im like yes, but i know mechs and i can give the whole part mana. Eventually boss dies while most of us are dead.
Ozma we have the same issue. I tell them before the fight to take one marker to the back and left. Do they listen? Nope. And they end up almost killing all of alliance a each time, but also us. Once again healers are dead bc they stood in the white balls and did not heal and redmages decided to die to the blue/red square mech i think. People are rezing im being nice giving mana like i told them that i could. They then keep dropping BOTH markers on middle platform and killed most of us. Each time i remind them, each time I move to the side.to avoid death. Eventually i die to adds and we eventually kill alliance a. We wipe. I then tell them once again stop doing what they are doing. Don't listen, now they are dropping everyting in middle platform and to the right. I am the sole survivor or our group with tank at 3% with alliance b luckily fully alive. I lb 2 ozma is dead.
Next boss was just as bad but i just ignored my group.
Rinse repeat with new group in wiping city. Only bring in one healer who accused me of pulling ozma. I did not. W.e.
Just had an interesting run where I didn't even really notice we may have had a bot, or at least someone who turned on a bot while we were running the dungeon. Was in Gubal Library (59) with a SAM, BLM, and WHM. Up to first boss was fine and they even said "Brb real quick" bout 5mins later they said "All good, thanks" and never spoke again. Wasn't until the final boss I noticed the good BLM gameplay dropped to standing still, cast fire...........cast fire.........cast thunder.......and repeat. Got the orb, stayed still. AOE, delayed movement to get out with no casting being done. Just really odd, maybe they were busy with something at the time but the movement was very robotic. Tho the name was a jumbled mess too so I've got no real clue.
it should be fine since its not harassment or someone "bad play" or anything like that. if i were that healer i would be happy to see my moment like that get captured lolAs much as I love this you might want to delete it or censor the names, they're really particular about that on the forums.
on the other hand, i found bot, 2 of them, both lalafel, both level 50 too. i didnt follow latest bot programming news or such but, these 2 just teleporting stuff like... instant teleport from mining spot A to spot B to C and so on.
damn bot these days, so advance.
So, last night I did some roulettes with an fc mate and we were getting groups that had some small issues that weren't really too horrible until we got Bismark for trial. Let's see I was on drg and my fce mate was on whm. So first set of adds the other healer gets knocked off. We kill them and everything looks like it's going to be smooth from there. Nope we don't phase into the snakes after Bismark shakes us off. At some point during the second set of adds or the other drg gets knocked off. Then the snakes take forever so I use the lb on the second one just so we can progress. Even with that it was only a few seconds before Bismark did his ultimate. We kill the next set and get onto his back again really easy and I use the lb again cause dps is kinda slow.
Then it takes us at least 3 more rounds of adds to get back onto the back and finish this damn fight. All due to one dragonkiller not being shot or both and mostly because no one wants to stand in the water pool and take the hit. By this time I think the blm jumped off and I seriously thought about doing it myself because I thought the island's health was that low. So for dps it was just me and a brd and drgaonkillers get used while we still had some adds up but I just ignore them as I just want this hot mess to end. I lb him again and whack him a few more times and he dies.
Still leveling my Whm and got lv 54 dungeon. The War do the first pack in tank stance. After that he switch to DPS stance. I don't know how but he keep aggro like a boss, use cooldown like à boss and we speed run this like a walk in the parc !
got DF aurum vale today and i dont know if this is lamest attempt at trolling or this person really in panic.
basically guy die because he didnt eat the fruit, so after i revive him he start eat the fruit. only the thing is, he didnt stop eating... sickness or not he keep eating all the fruit that spawn. and later at the last boss he did it again, keep eating all the fruit doesnt matter he got the debuff or not.
kick him out after that, but he keep insisting he didnt know what to do, so strange.
Did you actually explain when and why he needs to eat a fruit, or did you just kicked him because he was doing it wrong?
I ran for mentor roulette a few weeks ago and had an 'interesting' experience I want to share. Please bear with this lame stroy as it is important for the ending - imo something outrageous.
I signed up as DRK, and got into Snowcloak. With me were a MNK, a RDM and a WHM, who just wrote into the chat 'pull as many as you like'. Well, I was about to it either way, so there we go.
Most of the dungeon I did pull pretty big, sometimes even more than I used to.
WHM gave me an... exceptional feeling. They seemed to know how to top my HP with barely any overheal - if any - they used a few DPS spells here and there (nothing big, yet still very helpful), but all around very cautious. Like a person who knows how to deal with it, but hesitates.
Throughout the whole dungeon I may've lost one or two adds due to WHM occasionally using Regen on me during pull, but no one died. Overall run went pretty smooth, Yeti took a little longer 'cause some didn't seems to know how to hit snowballs from the right direction or hit them on accident (?).
At last boss, Fenrir was casting Lunar Cry (you have to 'hide' behind the remaining icicle). I placed a ground marker, everyone except RDM ran towards. The WHM tried to save them with rescue, but was just half a second too late, and RDM bit the snow. Fortunately, we killed Fenrir before 2nd Lunar Cry. This WHM caught my eye.
Well, both DPS left, and I had a chat with WHM. I told them to 'better not use Regen on tank during pull' as less experienced tanks tend to lose aggro and their heads when it happens.
I also told them that they could be a little more aggressive with dps'in the trash, as long as the tank is at 50%, there shouldn't be any danger. It's okay to be cautious if you are new to a duty, and they should have to check on tank's gear beforehand, they will know when to dps after a few times, but should push their limits.
Now what I am about to tell you, actually hit me harder than anything else in this dungeon.
They said that at least 2 mentors told them to STOP dps'in! It would be their job to heal - to keep the tank and party topped, to be exact.
Well, to encourage the WHM I said it's all right to push your limits and fail, than never try and maybe regret never getting better, and to ignore those previous mentors.
How can mentors actually tell sprouts to 'not try'? That's like telling a child 'forget about climbing, you might fail at it'!
Mentors should encourage new players to try things, explain the game, sharing your experience - so they might learn from it.
This was heartbreaking for me to hear that from a sprout who was showing so much potential. They seemed very talented, it would have been a waste if they kept from trying. (And just because some mentors told them to.)
This made me cry. I'm a healer main so I rarely have experience with other healers in dungeons. I'm no god or anything, but this still makes me fear doing any other role.I moved from Crystal to Primal recently but let me give you an idea of the last worst crystal experience I ever had.
It was Ghimly Dark, I went in as a PLD, had a drg, a blm, and a whm (all who have done this before). The first pulls are totally fine and then we get to the first boss. Go through it like normal and the WHM dies to the flaming smash aoe when he's around 60%. "Well shit" I try to run through it with the other two DPS healing them with clemencys. But raidwides slowly take over and I almost kill him with about 2% left (me being alive) with the whm going "Wow, you're really good!"
I die and we run back, at this point about 10 minutes have passed and the BLM left the instance so we get a replacement. Again we go through it as normal and the WHM dies again to the exact same aoe. Thankfully I know what to do better with MP management and I keep us alive to beat him. We rush through (at this point 17 minutes have passed) and we get through the trash just fine.
Get to the second boss and the WHM dies to the long blast aoe from the whole (around 80%), there was plenty of time to dodge but they did not. Thankfully less raidwide damage during this fight so I was able to beat it with my two dps with no issues, using clemency when their health was low and divine veil off CD. At this point the whm says "I'm sorry..." and we beat the boss and make our way through the rest of the trash.
Get to the last boss and everything goes fine UNTIL the exploding tank mechanic happens and the whm dies again. At this point our DRG also dies (was using Holy Spirit off Req so my mp was too low to heal). Me and the BLM survive the aoe damage and the lines and we're up against the two of them doing the super move that wipes the party if it reaches max. I go MAX dps and so does the BLM using my combos and getting off my Req while the BLM is throwing Fire IV's like a madman. We almost wipe but the BLM pulls out the LB and we clear it with about 4 seconds left on the clock.
I thank the gods it worked out and commend the BLM, and leave only to get zero comms for my efforts. Was I made at the comms? Nah, I was more so mad at the WHM dying to the same mechanic at the exact same spot when a friggin turret dps manages to dodge it completely fine.
