Not really, this community needs far less people that think only of themselves and thier own gratification and considers others in the equation. Having been a WOW player for years before moving here I've seen what happens when the community keeps that kind of behavior up.

I'll take anime over crappy western artwork.
Agreed really glad he chose ESO over FFXIV.Not really, this community needs far less people that think only of themselves and thier own gratification and considers others in the equation. This is the double edged nature of things.
On the one hand, yeah, if he were to come here and that just brings players with WoW mentalities with them (where all they care about is big numbers and big shoulder pads for their big egos), itd probably be a long term detriment as if they get enough traction, devs could change how the game proceeds in favor of courting more players with that mind set, thus alienating legacy players.
On the other hand, more people in the game would help out with funding and possibly get us better and more stuff faster. If hte game doubled in size, as an example, it would galvanize SE to invest more into the game which might be a net benefit to everyone. That and maybe, just maybe, we can help those WoW players who are all about the big numbers aspect to see it our way, where that's not all there is to an MMO.
It's not like SE uses what they make RIGHT NOW on the game anyways so that wouldn't matter. Also those WoW players arent new players they have been on the WoW train for years and most of them since WoW first released so expecting to change their minds has a really tiny chance in working. This is the double edged nature of things.

Most played horde race is blood elf tho lol

To help stop Rhauban EX 2.0 on June 28th? I'm guessing many of his fanbase already play FFXIV though. What would a huge influx like that which SE didn't predict do to the instance servers even if they are just on the instances in ARR?

i always thought wow's artstyle was more like a western fantasy comic. xiv's is more like a realistic western fantasy. not that these are bad, mind you.

iirc he doesn't even play anymore. WoW has nothing on FFXIV as far as graphics. Two completely different types but still, FFXIV is so much better looking. Can't speak for all of them obviously, but Asmon doesn't really have a agenda. He's just a die-hard WoW player and him and all his fans use the "weeb excuse" to pretty much write off FFXIV entirely. It's a incredibly short sighted and silly excuse to avoid a MMO entirely for that reason though.
