Was leveling my AST alt by spamming dungeons and queued for Qarn as soon as I hit 35 and did my job quest.
Qarn 1st boss never failes to amuse me.

First doom hits, BLM happens to stand on the right tile, tank doesn't move. When I estimated about 2-3sec debuff left and he was still nowhere near the tile I pushed Swiftcast, waited for him to die and instantly ressed him.
Next doom hits, both BLM and tank not near tiles with 2-3sec left. Okay, Light's Speed & ress time!
Ressed both, told them to move on glowing tiles with doom.
Next doom hits, tank makes it, BLM doesnt.
Last doom hits, BLM runs around like a chicken but makes it just in time. Tank dies.

The DRG was the only one not wiping the floor with his face.
Let that sink in.

I decided that I wanted to level NIN on my alt (idk why because I’m a terrible melee DPS), so I did PotD today from level 10 to 15 and then spammed dungeons.

I had the same BRD three times in a row for 51-60 that insisted on kiting the boss. The third time was three melee (double ROG + DRG) and it took us longer to kill him because they wanted to just kite. I was getting really annoyed lol (this is also why I prefer ranged/casters because I don’t have to worry about chasing something down).

And I also want to say how utterly boring it is to play ROG at this level. I have 2 1/2 skills to press — Spinning Edge > Gust Slash > Spinning Edge > Gust Slash > ad nauseam. OH I CAN PRESS ASSASSINATE SOMETIMES TOO. I almost wanted to start randomly hitting Shade Shift and Arm’s Length just to have more buttons to press.

Also, it really sucks when your tank wants to pull like 7 mobs in Tam-Tara or Halati but you can’t. AOE. them. down.

The last bit is part of why I try not to pull too many in lowbie dungeons unless there's a BLM and/or BRD around, yeah lol.

doing suzaku trial yesterday and the center hole on 2nd phase grab another 2 victim, the tank who run straight past suzaku and a drg, after the glorious dragon dive too none of the less

and i like how some people type "staying true to the drg tradition" lol it show's how long these people has been playing FF14 =D

This fight pisses me off bc if a tank positions suzaku wrong every jump on drg will kill you. Last time I was in there i had two new tanks that positioned her butt in the hole. Kept saying to move her but I had to wait for the boss to phase change and fix it that way. This is one thing I hope can go away shb. Nothing like doing your rotation without jumps bc tanks are too stupid to place her correctly.

^yeah being a drg on that fight can be real pain, you know when it happen you shouldn't use jump but you just naturally want to press it because its part of our rotation afterall.

it happened on my monk too, tank drag her a bit off center so when i use charge i just fell right off the hole (among some others), 1st time on that fight can be hilarious

Yesterday i ran snowcloak with 3 sprouts ... no big deal. DMG is low and noone aoes ... fine gonna be 20 mins and not 15 ... right? Oh boi ...

Up to the 2nd boss everything was ok. I explain the yeti ... dont fight the bunny only the ogre and the boss and push the snowball towards the boss on stage 3 or to stun.

I pull ... they insta kill the bunny, okay so i tell them. Next bunny gets frozen and pushed the wrong way ... kay this happens.

5 min later boss is at 70% hp ... and noone reads anything in chat.

I deceide to make a sandwich and return to the nin kiteing the boss which is at 50% ... didnt even think it had a hate reset move.

Long story short it took us 10min to kill that boss. Mind blowing.

And im not hating on sprouts ... but please read the chat.

Started off the week on a good expert roulette for once. DRK doing an awesome job with enmity and mitigation, RDM&SAM going ham on AoE and burning everything down in record speed, I just get to sit there and cast Holy (or Stone on bosses) over and over. Didn't even need any Cures, the couple I did cast were so I could get my next Assize quicker. :P

I moved from Crystal to Primal recently but let me give you an idea of the last worst crystal experience I ever had.

It was Ghimly Dark, I went in as a PLD, had a drg, a blm, and a whm (all who have done this before). The first pulls are totally fine and then we get to the first boss. Go through it like normal and the WHM dies to the flaming smash aoe when he's around 60%. "Well shit" I try to run through it with the other two DPS healing them with clemencys. But raidwides slowly take over and I almost kill him with about 2% left (me being alive) with the whm going "Wow, you're really good!"

I die and we run back, at this point about 10 minutes have passed and the BLM left the instance so we get a replacement. Again we go through it as normal and the WHM dies again to the exact same aoe. Thankfully I know what to do better with MP management and I keep us alive to beat him. We rush through (at this point 17 minutes have passed) and we get through the trash just fine.

Get to the second boss and the WHM dies to the long blast aoe from the whole (around 80%), there was plenty of time to dodge but they did not. Thankfully less raidwide damage during this fight so I was able to beat it with my two dps with no issues, using clemency when their health was low and divine veil off CD. At this point the whm says "I'm sorry..." and we beat the boss and make our way through the rest of the trash.

Get to the last boss and everything goes fine UNTIL the exploding tank mechanic happens and the whm dies again. At this point our DRG also dies (was using Holy Spirit off Req so my mp was too low to heal). Me and the BLM survive the aoe damage and the lines and we're up against the two of them doing the super move that wipes the party if it reaches max. I go MAX dps and so does the BLM using my combos and getting off my Req while the BLM is throwing Fire IV's like a madman. We almost wipe but the BLM pulls out the LB and we clear it with about 4 seconds left on the clock.

I thank the gods it worked out and commend the BLM, and leave only to get zero comms for my efforts. Was I made at the comms? Nah, I was more so mad at the WHM dying to the same mechanic at the exact same spot when a friggin turret dps manages to dodge it completely fine.
