I am commander Heiral, and I approve of this post!
Joking aside, really good idea!
I will quote myself. lol
A little story:
A female hyur enter in a cloth store
- Oh Hello!! Can you help me?
- Sure! What can I do for you? - Say the saleswoman
- I want to buy new cloths, something simple and cute.
- We have this Hyur hempen Camise, perfect for you.
- It's cute, but I already have one... Ohhhhh! Look at that hempen camise, I want that! How much? - Say the Hyur looking at Au'ra hempen.
- YOU CANT HAVE THAT! LOOK AT YOURSELF! DO YOU HAVE SCALES? DO YOU EVEN HAVE A TAIL????? LOOK AT THE CAMISE, IT'S NOT FIT YOU! GET OUT OF MY STORE.
Did you thing this is a weird story? Well, it's like I feel for hempen set being race/gender locked.
I was unaware of this. Regardless, I don’t think the two are related like that. They are both just glam at the end of the day.
Cultural appropriation in a hempem set? :v
You have to check the importance of the "cultural cloth" first. I remember someone post here in forums his/her discontentment about the New World set because the importante of the culture (something about the mightiest warriors only can use it), but we are talking about extreme casual online game cloth here.
And there is a tom of "cultural cloths" there is no problem at all anyone to use, as Japanese yukata for example, or a Chinese dress.
Keep spreading this topic around guys! We can’t quit until Yoshida responds! Also, how many up votes does it take for questions to be forwarded to Yoshida? I’m guessing like around 70?
I get the feeling that our community reps can't just forward things to the devs in Japan unsolicited even if they get hundreds of likes. It seems more like they're forum moderators that also have to make strictly crafted social media posts, and not just for FFXIV either.
