Would you rather have had Male Viera or Hrothgar?

Hrothgar, Devs should have never added Viera as a race in the first place. We need more unique looking playable race in this game than just another human with animal parts attached to them.

Personally Hrothgar, as playing as a bunny doesn't appeal to me in any way.

I'd still like them to one day pursue the option, mainly as I know some women who want it and are reluctant to play female characters.

Because they are the more similar race: bulky buff giants often seen with more fantasy skin palettes. In fact many Roes are changing to Hrot.
All the other races are quite different, only possible similarity with Miqo'te is the feline motif which is a Hrot option but they are completely different actually.

I've always wanted a larger, buff race option, but Roes are fugly as hell and dont have any distinguishing features besides a flat nose. (Galka has tails, why did they strip that away? It's like removing Elezen's ears.)
I'm sure many others feels the same, so why anyone would think we could just make do with Roes and not have anything like Hrothgar always bewildered me.

IDK if it's them just being intentionally obtuse or if people just don't pay attention to the difference in body shape because all they see is big + muscles.
As a Femroe I'm always looking out for anything that's big so it's clear as day to me how different they are. I figured that we'll have to wait for the Benchmark to drive it home for some.

As for the topic, Hrothgar (after I got over the strange reveal vid. You can tell it has crappy lighting likely because it was a rush job and they wanted make it look "cool") actually make me PROUD for the devs and leadership of this game. As a Viera support for years I'd tots stomp out the opposing "beast race" supporters by just pointing out how the devs would never put in the work to model and animate expressions for beast faces or remake so much head gear to work on them. "Oh, Viera are just Humans with animal ears? Welp, that's all you can hope to get ... this aint GW2 or wow."

Hrothgar actually deliver something new to the roster. They fill more than one void in the line up and at the end of the day what's the point of making a new race if not to bring something new that can't be experienced with the current ones?

Can't wait for the benchmark to set mine up.

Personally Given the choice i would have preferred Male Viera. However in a hypothetical situation where i did not know either were being added, i would prefer they added 1 full race over 2 half races.

That said Hrothgar don't appeal to me, so on a preference between the two I would go with Male Viera.

Hrothgar, especially if they were closer to Byakko in terms of their design. I like cats but Miqo'te are too short for my personal tastes.

Furthermore, they provide something new compared to Viera men - namely a bestial race. Xaela and Raen come close, though only in regards to the men and they too lack a muscle slider despite it making sense for them to have one given their lifestyle.

I want to see Viera men added to the game, though many of the requests for them to be added have soured my opinion of the race as it is clear that many aren't asking for them to be the fierce forest protectors they are described as being but Miqo'te with bunny ears.

As much as I love Viera after seeing the constant droning complaints and whinging from everyone I honestly wish they had just implemented Hrothgar and told us Viera might show up in 6.0.

People keep acting like the company personally walked in gave them two middle fingers then took a dren on their favorite chair. I'm frankly more appalled by the playerbase at this point than the company.
