Would you rather have had Male Viera or Hrothgar?

i actually ran a similar poll in the japanese gd. none of them replied to the thread, perhaps out of not wanting to interact with a filthy gaijin such as myself. currently it is overwhelmingly in favor of hrothgar.

as for myself i personally would have preferred male viera. i understand them wanting to implement a second buff mclargehuge race, but i think they could've taken a page from wow's book. they have beast/monster races of all shapes and sizes.

If I had to choose, then naturally I'd choose Hrothgar (male and female). Viera aren't all that interesting to me as all I see is a human with X animal part.

I chose Male Viera on the poll, but depending on what the model ended up like it could have very well gone the other way. I'm not exactly keen on even more cats. Maybe if they imported some Chua or Popori?

Male Viera, if as they appeared in the concept art, but solely for subjective reasons -- nothing to do with allotment of development time, cohesion, or any gender equality principles. They were just exactly what I was looking for in terms of physique. Though I would have preferred to then use a helm that hid my ears completely, so... maybe I'll just hope for new body type options among Midlanders, Au Ra, or Elezen?

...Of any new animalistic races, I'd have most wanted IX's Burmencians or Dwarves... Hrothgar would be a good boon for diversity of appearance options, too, though, if only they looked less... low-res, so to speak?

Still a bit weird though, you'll be in a main city, hearing about beastmen acting up again or how beastmen are banned from the city or whatever, meanwhile a giant 8ft tall dude covered in fur with a lions head and a giant horn is just chilling in his speedo on the bench across from you.

Look at the % of people who may male miqo'te or elezen vs those who play roegadyn and you'll have a better picture of what people would prefer.

I play Miqote and would rather have Hrothgar...
